Don't get your hopes up, Dodd says the loss of Davis and Hunter is "inevitable."

The Egg seemed to think it was a done deal too.

Very strange that he would so matter of factly state this without knowing.

Folks often jump to conclusions because of how they feel about the circumstances surrounding the situation.

For e.g. if this were the lets-have-a-rally-for-miles days then even Jeff Luc's commitment would be scoffed at and folks would be saying that he is still a lock.

Since a lot of folks are displeased with Miles it naturally overflows onto the recruiting side of the equation as well where they feel that this is the natural progression of the program in its descent.

ETA : not to say that Davis won't decommit or stay the course but for now any rumour has been received badly because of our own mind frames.

A kid that was between Texas and LSU may have leaned toward Texas after all the publicity about Miles being a bad coach when he had the playclock f-up. Now that Mack Brown had a similar f-up, it may make them realize that it can happen to any coach, and maybe Miles isn't a bad coach after all.

I didn;t expect the kid to admit he was going to visit. He was, I talked to his teammate Corey Nelson( A&M commit) and did a article for my network on it. They were both going to go down. Corey said he was just going to ride with Mike.. LSU convinced Mike not to go and that is that. Those are the facts..

So this basketball tournament in Oklahoma just so happened to be this weekend too, eh? Just curious. Was he going to skip a basketball tourney to go visit Texas?

Those wre teh facts when I psoted it, but it looks like he has had a change of hear and will be going to Texas this weekend. Talked to two other friends (one is A&M commit D. PAtterson) who is his teammate and it looks like Davis will visit.

I am not Texas fan, I don't post much on these boards, but when I do, I don't just make things up. I posted this before when someone wanted to start slamming me. That is fine, but just like the times before, you make yourself look stupid.

I only post info that effects LSU, good or bad.

Several people have appreciated it, a few, well...

Gatortrunk, you are right.I'm lucky that I am right in the middle of Highland Springs and Varina so I actually get to see some good football every now and then.Overall not even close to when I was in Louisiana.I grew up in Franklin and Tensas parishes and even those small schools had more school pride and excitement than here.
