I doube if this will happen, but I am worried about recruiting, with how the wideouts have been used. LM is a good coach, not terrible, not great.

If the use of Toliver and Lafell is worrisome, I wonder what Florida and Alabama's recruits must be thinking.

I do think this is the better pick for him. Texas throws the ball more and it's easier to be productive in the Big-XII. Not to mention, how have comparable guys done at LSU? Tolliver? Nothing so far. Chris Mitchell? Nothing. Jared Mitchell? Nothing.

LSU's best WRs have tended to be bigger, taller WRs.

LSU had a rash of decommits last year. Davis wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Look at the 2007-2008 depth chart (and even this year) and look at the 2010 depth chart. It's very different. And I'm sure that Jared Mitchell is pretty happy with his situation right now.

Most of those guys decommited because of the depth chart. I realize that a certain armed robber isn't in that group.

Mike Davis is very similar to Early Doucet and Craig Davis

I don't know why Mike Davis would decommit due depth chart concernes considering LaFell is gone.

Next year our top 2 WRs will be Toliver (SR.) and Randle (SO.).

The third WR is a total crapshoot and could be taken by any of the incoming WRs and have a great shot at starting by their 2nd year.

Which is why I think he'll stick to it, we've got the track record and an improving QB -- makes no sense to jump ship now.

Yeah, the depth chart is very favorable.

There are two explanations: He wanted to be a Texas player from the beginning or the guys at Orangebloods want to make some extra $ and are making stuff up.

he still won't see real action until the 3rd or 4th game, even if he's amazing

he'll be our #3 WR in most sets most likely

the fit for his body is WR, unless he gets moffit'd, gets slow, and ends up playing RB at 215

Shea posted it was BS per Davis on TSD, but we all remember a fellow by the name of Janzen Jackson two weeks before signing day after he visited Tennessee.
