Although that has nothing to do with my comment, I don’t really agree with you.

They’ve gotten much better since NIL. That program was in the dumpster for a long time, losing to those same teams on that easy schedule. Now, they are competing for conference titles.
It's literally what he said. You can believe in fairy tales, but Cristobal has not fixed that program. I said this before the season that they are going to go anywhere from 11-2 to 13-0 because of teh current high priced squad the paid for out of the portal. They are going to crash and burn after this year. Ole Miss will too.

The University of Miami is located in Coral Gables, which is a very nice area, and absolutely nothing like what you described.

I’d say he has definitely fixed the program from a culture/infrastructure pov. The team under manny had a lot of issues especially with talent evals.

Mario is finishing year 3 and has just about had a complete roster flip. They have recruited really well since he’s been here. Yes there have been some key transfers but the key players remain non transfers. On offense, all but 4 of our 2 deep on offense are non portal guys. Defense is still a WIP as 6 of our 2 deep is a recent portal very good.

Will we go into the portal again and get 10-12 guys to be key rotational guys? Of course and that’s the MO for most of the top teams in CFB. If Mario finds a good QB, we should be a 10+ win team again.

Could we perhaps dip to a 8-9 win year? Perhaps, but we have too much talent on this roster to “crash and burn” imo.

Cam helped win Miami 3-4, games and Miami had to get help from the refs in 2-3 games. Cam won't be there next year. So Miami will have 3-4 loses next year. The ACC is terrible this year. Getting 10-12 guys out the portal every year isn't good for your program either.

This could be said almost every year, especially when comparing to the B10 or SEC.

No doubt. The expectation is that portal players will be relied upon less and less by the year as Mario gets his talent in place. Portal players can’t be avoided with NIL because that’s where we are. But, look at the landscape of CFB and look at the depth charts of the top teams. Oregon is littered with transfers, and just about every team except for osu and Georgia has 3-4 transfers starting in each side of the ball.

Portal players are here to stay and there’s probably a desired optimal amount of transfers you want to have on your team. What that number is, not sure.

The area around the University of Miami makes the area between I-10 and LSU look desirable. Just saying

What? Coral Gables is rich and gorgeous. You have to be talking about very specific neighborhoods to find anywhere that nice in Louisiana. That's like a third of the reason why Miami has so much trouble filling a stadium whenever they're not elite. The school itself is heavily international and NYC finance transplants, the area its around is full of yuppies and transplants because nobody else can afford it, and between the two there's not much ownership of the university in Miami.

I don't think Pickett is decommiting, but "the area sucks and you have to go to Wynnewood to go clubbing" is not why he's not going to end up at Miami.
