Never fault her for not wanting to be in shadow.

Yep, mentioned this in another thread but after what happened to Shareef here it might be best for her to forge her own path, especially with the talent Mulkey is able to bring in right now.

How is that pronounced? Myra? Me-R-ah? Meer-ah?

Good for her. Florida is building something.

What shadow?? Not like she'll play on the MBB team. Maybe that's why his son left after one year, but this isn't the same.

LSU must have given him congenital heart defect.

he was here more than a year. left because he got 0 playing time despite looking goods whenever he was on the court.

His coach basically singled him out saying he wasn’t doing what he needed to off the court. It shouldn’t be a shock that he didn’t like the structure and schooling part of things, considering he basically chose to end his sports relevancy by entering the draft instead of transferring again.
I was surprised Shaq made the comments he did about Shareef’s time here. He seems to expect his kids to work hard without expecting favoritism.

He was a nobody, yes mostly due to injury/health probably (of course we'll never fully know, but Wade would also argue it was more than just that), but the spotlight is always going to much larger on an O'Neal at LSU than anywhere else is the point. If she came here and didnt get much playing time the first few years it would be brought to the forefront of discussion way more than anyone else probably who also wasn't playing. And for some people thats a tougher pill to swallow than just being forgotten if they arent playing which is what happens most of the time.
Just the way it is when you play as a legacy with THAT kind legacy to follow.

I dont get it either but I saw a clip of Shaq actually saying that they took a shot on LSU thinking he would be taken care of here and he wasn’t. Almost word for word. I dont know what the story is behind that but that’s what he said.
