McKinley Jackson DT top 5

I see Jackson released his top 5 and included LSU, but I don't think he's coming our way. I hear he has a family connection to a member of the Auburn staff and they have been on a roll as of late. I would love for LSU to land him, but I think it's a long shot. If I had to guess, I would say Alabama or Auburn. Alabama because it's Alabama and Auburn because of the family connection. He's a beast, and in recruiting you never know, so maybe we find a way to land this monster!

Well, he said he is committing on National Signing Day, IDK if he means the early signing day or the second. If he is talking about the second I doubt very seriously he will make it to LSU. With the amount of commits LSU has and will probably have come Dec. I'd tend to believe they will sign everybody in Dec. Maybe O holds off on signing 2 or 3 for Feb to see if they can get a late commit, but I doubt he does this and risk signing someone who wants to go to LSU.

IMOO - Coach O has learned a painful lesson from the last two recruiting cycles. Do not wait on a long shot; accept a commitment from a prospect that wants to become a TIGER

I agree. We've been burned on a couple of prospects waiting until signing day, but he would be a nice addition. We can't have another Marvin Wilson or Ish situation blow up in our face. I just hate to see a talented player, once committed to us, go elsewhere!

He's built like Guillory and ranked pretty close so given the choice I'd go with the local kid if he wants in.
