This story has now taken a life of its own..lol..the media, NCAA, and the officials of the universities involved (Texas/LSU) arent going to let this die. Someone has said too much. Whether its a simple erroneous copying of a "spiced up" school report by the writer. or if it's the writer, J-Mac, and his mother trying to come up with a "cover up" story to clear the accusations that were made, there's been too much said. now we have too many lingering questions about the validity of certain claims by J-Mac and his mother. IMO you can bet with the seriousness of recruiting violations that this incident will be thoroughly investigated.

Granted, the reporter did cite his source, and so he did his job on the surface. The problem, however, is that the reporter presents the information from McFarland's report as if it is 100% truthful. He doesn't say that explicitly, but almost any reader would assume that McFarland is telling the whole truth.
Glad to know that the "star student" makes crap up in his papers. That's really great.
