State high jump champion and has a long jump over 24', shows this guy is an athlete and an excellent pickup

I played with Armand at Slidell the last 2 years. The guy is a freak of nature. His vertical is over 40 inches. He's a Colston type receiver. Definitely underrated. He's also a good guy, and a really hard worker. He's a good pick up

I don't know the first thing about the kid so this is not a knock on him.
When people first started taking an avid interest in recruiting, before it got to be where it is now, Max Emfinger was THE name, like Tom Lemming now. The otehr big source was Blue Chip magazine. That was when Curley was LSU's head coach and the first couple years under DiNardo.
Practically every year LSU had a recruiting class ranked in the top 5 and a couple of times even had the #1 class under Emfinger. He's from Livingston Parish and always seemed to be biased towards LSU, imo. He used to be WWL's source when Ol' Hap Glaudi was there.
I really don't think people put much stock in him now. We don't hear about about Blue Chip anymore either. Maybe others on here who follow recruiting closer than just the basics knows more.

Max Emfinger is a con-man. He doesn't pay his bills. Check out ripoffreports.com Just a couple of examples of what he does. Don't believe me, just ask your self one question, "Why doesn't Max Emfinger hold his game in the same location every year?" or "Why doesn't he go back to any location to hold his game again?".

Criticize away, but bumping a year old thread about one of our RSF just to criticize one of his proponents, is a little going out the way to do it. I'm sure there could be more recent examples. Emfingers game gave this kid a chance to prove what he could, outside his run-oriented high school offense. He had like 4 catches for >200 yards in his All-star game. Might have not been what LSU's staff noticed, but it didn't hurt, and we offered, and he switched. If this guy develops, Emfinger should be thanked! He get these kids some PR, whatever you think of him.

Not sure what the reason for this post was? LSU's receivers were below average this year. None of the freshman did anything worth mentioning. Wait till Armand Williams is at least a junior to bring this back up.
