Per reports Tennessee is really ahead of the game in the NIL space. I believe LSU can flip though.

Watching it live it was funny and confusing at the same time lol. And he followed those 2 up with Tennessee went 7-6 last year and I was thinking is this a joke?

I understand leaving the state. But I don’t understand leaving the state for Tennessee, unless it’s simply for more money.
He’s a very good student so if he picked Stanford, Notre Dame, Michigan (a finalist), or even USC, I can understand for sure.
Alabama has the Saban mystique so I understand why some guys leave for Bama. I realize this doesn’t apply to Matthews but more generally.
But when a guy with a legit LSU offer picks Tennessee or Auburn (like the older Ausbery), it’s a complete head scratcher.

JM wanted to commit early(before his HS football season) and get that behind him. Recruiting is stressful for kids, and he just wanted to play his senior year carefree. . LSU was late to the party mostly due to coaching change. They didn't get on him until just a couple of weeks ago. He had narrowed his list down before LSU even offered. MAybe we can flip, but he's planning on early signing.
