Can’t do this in todays game. Guys need to come in and be ready to contribute immediately. NIL money and scholarships have to go to the guys that are ready to play now. Projects set us back it’s not the same as a few years ago.

This is dumb as shite.

???

A team has 85 scholarship players.

You're not going to get every o-lineman on the field.

Thought we’d have higher rated OLmen than this guy that we would be going after to. Is he just vastly underrated??or someone who will take 3 years to develop?

Judging by his offer list, I'd say so. You need development guys that are good with sitting and learning for a couple of years. We are fine on the OL and this kid clearly has a ton of raw talent.

This will lower our national average to #15 or #16. That would make eight three stars recruits if nothing changes. I personally am slightly concerned about accepting this many average recruits this early.

A Texas OLman with not one home state offer is definitely worrisome. We can do better.

Brian Kelly knows more about him than any recruiting site does.

So what are you saying?

Do we need to sign 85 4 and 5 star players every year just to make sure they're all ready for the 1st game?

Some of you guys really think the recruiting site rankings are the end all be all.

This isn't Madden.

Threauxdown, you are off here. Oline often takes 2-3 years of development. I know we had 2 frosh starting last year, but that is highly unusual and partly due to the lack of depth we have had at that position...
