IMHO he and Stingley have the best highlight film of LSU commits over the last 3-4 cycles. Just an insane combo of athleticism and aggressiveness.

I was wondering.

That's an awful lot of WR highlights and not so much defensive highlights.

My wife and I saw him play in their first game this year the weekend of the Miami game. (Her nephew plays on the team). The lack of speed they had on the outside was extremely evident and he only played 2 offensive snaps. He was a decoy both times. They got crushed because they couldn’t move the ball. Good to see them use him on offense. He was a man amongst boys on defense.

He also had a towel with LSU drawn on it. Kid is all in.

Not trying to bash Stevens but I'm way more impressed with the explosiveness and speed of Brooks than I ever was of Stevens.

I don't know how this dude isn't a 5*??

IMO he's going to be a Jamal Adams and Honey Badger type of player. You can just tell that his football awareness is sky high and those type of players when combined with athletic skill, size and aggressiveness makes them really special players. He's one of those. He will make anyone look silly bc of his awareness level and aggressive combo. He's very talented and if he gains some weight, my goodness he's going to be the best defender we've had in a while. Him and Phillips are going to be very good together. Wish Tyler wouldn't have gotten into trouble bc those 3 guys would have made this defense Elite.

Agree witcha and he’s already a 5* on 247. Bet he ends up around where Chaisson did when it’s all said and done

Of course I really do love the LBers we have now and have coming as well. Baskerville will be a badass when he figures out how and when to be aggressive. Queen is another good one. Then you add this guy and the others we have and we will have some of the best LBers we've ever had here in a long time.

If we could just land that really dominant couple of NTs and then be 2 and 3 deep with 5* type of talent on the line with these guys while also adding a Marcus Spears type of rush DE.

I think LSU should go after both the bigger guys and the lighter guys. If we have one on each end with two great middle LBers like White and Phillips and the type of safeties we have this defense would be nasty as frick.

No one would be able to block that type of defense and we could eat up the edges with our LBers and safeties. With these corners we have coming, this defense would be epic and versatile as hell. Really need to add those nasty DLman. With a dominant NT, DTs, a quick light DE and a strong heavy quick DE on the other side we would be bad arse. The lighter LB could play the field at times while the bigger guy rushed. Then you could switch sides with them, rush safeties, rush corners, rush MLBers, it would make our defense very hard for any OL to deal with.

Agreed. We're a couple of spots of upgrade away from having that elite defense. So close as it stands now. This class COULD go a long way towards that.

He needs to pick up those 50 pounds Bradford needs to drop and become a pass rushing LB/DE behind Chaisson.

I’m good friends with him. He’s been playing almost entirely offense this year. Not much defense at all. Last Friday night he played the entire game at WR, before coming in on the other teams final drive at OLB/ Safety. He’s a beast, 6’4 220. I’ve seen him jump over cars, he runs a sub 4.4. I’ve always been a huge LSU fan, and I’m excited I’ll get to see a good friend playing for the Tigers. I think he’s a future stud in Death Valley.
