So the lady tigers just landed another JUCO guard Karli Seay. Nikki has really loaded up on the JUCO scene this offseason, let’s see if it all can pan out!

What are the girls expected to do this upcoming season depth wise?

To me, this is a sign of desperation and an unstable program.
When was the last time UConn, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Baylor, Notre Dame, etc. etc. loaded up with no-name JUCOs?

They need for literally most of them to pan out for any chance at a decent season
Outside of Mitchell and Pointer, there are no SEC caliber players on roster right now
Losing Jackson was a major blow, it'll be rough next season trying to score
All these JUCO signings are desperation for players, for someone to pan out

Her days are numbered, this team will finish at the bottom part of the conference unless a few kids just magically turn into brand new players
Also there have been some major misses for this 2019 class

Is this season Nikki's swan song at LSU?

I thought I read or heard that Alleva extended her for 2 years?

According to an article I just read from Rabalais, as of April, this is the last year on her contract. He could be wrong or something has happened since then.

He is correct about this being the last year of her contract. The next BOS meeting is next Friday. We may find out then.

Not really. Most of the pickups are well developed players. And were also highly recruited

The way NCF has mismanaged our WBB rosters does not warrant an extension.
With Goldbricker Alleva, there is no telling. We hear he is on the way out and he just might saddle LSU with more "contracts of incompetence"!!
Caldwell has not kept up our great WBB traditions and IMO she is simply lazy and entitled.
We need a new leader for WBB and it is patently obvious.....
All the tip toeing around and politically correct BS has to stop.
Fire Alleva and don't think twice, she'll be dismissed for sure, by a competent AD.

Hi Nikki, and no there is a major difference between D1 Women's Basketball and Juco Women's Basketball
Posted on 6/20/18 at 2:13 pm to Tigerbait357
Nikki will be allowed to flatulate until a competent administrator replaces her.....
Posted on 6/20/18 at 2:36 pm to Tigerbait357
No, being that I played college ball, I know juco is a path back to D1 ball.

During the Gunter Era, under Joe Dean, there was a year that Pokey (Assistant then)hauled in the following:
Elaine Powell
Pietra Gay
Toni Gross
Aga Cieslak
These were all top notch JUCO's and they were successful. But it was a struggle. Their first year they advanced in NCAA's, a far cry from the previous several years, of that down period. Then they ran into Old Dominion, a program that brought in the best of international players. LSU could not hang with this ODU team, but the emergence began.
In those days, the HC and her staff really had a work ethic and a great love for LSU.
Today's HC is just an entitled mercenary.........I do not think she thinks about anything but her "dream job" at Dreamsicle and White U in Knoxville. Farce-gas has not had ONE successful recruiting year....NOT ONE!! She inherited a solid roster from Ole Van Chancellor and she was HANDED two first rounds in the NCAA's in that epoch. Beyond that, she has not advanced and we NEED IMMEDIATE CHANGE!!
