Owusu was actually a very good PG/distributor at Maryland despite being a bigger scorer. Things didn’t work out at all at VT.

She is talented enough Kim could work with her as both a PG and off guard. Kim has worked with far worse and done well. Owusu was a top recruit out of HS and earned lots of awards during her tenure at a stout Maryland program

With that said it’s evident HVL is still priority #1. If Owusu or Rogers wanted in, I think Kim would take one of them but the last spot is going to another post player

No clue. I know she been kicking it with her best friend Endyia and you could say that we might be in play for her also. I believe HVL is #1 on list still after that could be Morrow, VT transfer,or Endyia. We do need someone in the post also. I know we have freshman coming in but still need some veteran experience in the post.

Look for Van Lith to transfer to a program that already has a National Championship in the trophy case. She is expected to be in Baton Rouge at some point in the next 48 to 72 hours to visit with the reigning National Champions.

quote:

Aneesah Morrow’s numbers were absolutely staggering this season. The All-American averaged 25.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game in 35 minutes a contest. Morrow’s recruitment is expected to be limited to the elite upper echelon of the women’s game today. Her ability to play 32-36 minutes a game with a usage rate that doesn’t tail off late in the game is special. Expect her to potentially visit national powers LSU and South Carolina later in the month and into early May.

We may not be getting a commitment announcement tomorrow but it sounds like she is headed to LSU

I would imagine SC is pushing hard for Morrow. She talks a lot about Staley and South Carolina in her interviews throughout the year.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Unlike say, Ed Orgeron, who constantly got caught with his pants down on hires and recruits, Kim Mulkey will remain firmly in control.

If Morrow is undecided and won’t commit into May and Kim has, say, Barnum from Arkansas or another top forward ready to sign on the dotted line, Kim will take Barnum, though she may not be the marquee name Morrow is.

Morrow would be a great get, but we are not desperate and needy, if she strings us along. Barnum would be a great complement to Angel Reese up front. And with Del Rosario and Smith in reserve, we’d still have a downright scary four-woman rotation in the post.

I want Morrow, but we’ll be fine without her, given who else Kim can get.

Morrow tweeted yesterday she'd be releasing a top 3 soon so she'll be more drawn out than imminent. A couple posts on Volnation said she visited LSU this weekend though.

Kim hosted a couple of kids last week but couldn’t get specific names. They have kept pretty much everything under wraps this off-season about portal additions

It was like this last off-season as well. Didn’t hear about any transfers until the 3rd-4th week of April and the first week of may. Kind of following that same timeline again

A commitment soon from HVL would go a long way to reeling in Morrow, imo.

But we are recruiting from a position of strength. With Mulkey in charge and the pieces already in place, I am not stressed. This process will be fun to follow.

My top choices are Hailey Van Lith and Aneesah Morrow. But however it shakes out, I’d bet my bottom dollar we end up with some combination of impact guard and impact forward—and I’d also bet that both names have been mentioned somewhere in this thread.

If true, I do like that Morrow visited LSU first. You'd think if she was so pro-USCe that it would've been the first stop, especially since there are multiple positions (PF/C) there that she could play for them that are technically open post-draft, though 6-7 backup center Cardoso is likely to fill Boston's starting spot.

Per 247 reporter

From all accounts, Kim Mulkey’s Tigers are just getting started with their spring activity in the portal. They’ll be in the 3 official visit discussion for multiple transfers ranked in the @247Sports x @247SportsPortal top 10.
