i thought there was some rule that states if the kid has D-1 offers, he would count against the 85 limit. so a 5 star kid of a rich family wont "walk-on" to save a schollie and boost overall numbers. anyone know the rule im talking about?

Looks like a tough...hard-nosed kid.
4.9ish 40 is his limiting factor for SEC.
Maybe Tommy can get him down to a 4.75... Ha ha!!

Welcome Shawn. Now let's prove everyone wrong.
Five forced fumbles and two ints his senior season. Drops well into coverage. Takes good angles of pursuit.

team won state... so.. I imagine he was pretty good... not sure if SEC material...
He doesnt play baseball. We won state twice (09,10) he has never played for us.
Might be thinking of Tyler Clark

Wrong. A preferred walk-on goes through all the summer pre-camp workouts and begins practice with the scholarship guys. Walk-ons typically are not allowed to practice the first few sessions with the rest of the team.

Saw foster play this year and he could turn out to be a sleeper. Plays baseball as well and may walk on there too. Good pickup without cost.
not for long. I am guessing he gets a full ride by this time next year.

Just curious, any idea what schools he had offers from or passed up?
Rivals confirms he was offered by Arkansas and Tulane.

Agree. I have been saying that on this board for awhile. Foster is not going over there with intentions of holding a clipboard. While it may or may not pan out for him, he is legit and wants to compete for an opportunity, and passed up full scholarship offers to do so.
Glad to see Dandydon show some love to the young talent at Barbe as well!

Welcome aboard brother. No better committment to LSU than that and we should all appreciate it. My brother was a PWO and did the same thing turning down USM and Ole Miss among others. (over my fathers dead body)
I hope it works out for you and you are starting one day in Tiger Stadium.

I would MUCH rather walkon at LSU as a lifelong Louisianaian and LSU fan and hopefully be a part of a NC team over getting free tuition away from home at Arkansas or anywhere!

[quote]what a premadonna to have his own website w/out even being a major recruit,[/quote....lot of nerve for a guy who is not a "major recruit".Wants to fo to LSU so he can learn how to spell premadonna and then maybe make the football team so he can then have his own web site
