I haven't seen several minutes of highlight footage on all the other DL (like RN, etc) as I have Prevot, however I definitely wanted Prevot for LSU when he had just the 1 offer (LSU), was rated like a 5.6 on Rivals, and nobody was talking about the guy. He is unbelievably quick and that blocked punt footage is well....let's just say this. If "birthplace" on his driver's license says "Krypton", I wouldn't dispute it.

Gilbert has been very unimpressive despite coming in as the second coming.

You realize he basically got benched and transferred early last year right? I agree he was unimpressive in 2010.

Edit, woops, saw your other post. Shepard and Gilbert really lit it up as qbs didn't they. At least LSU got a decent WR and great athlete out of Shepard.

Yes. sorry for the tense, I realize it was confusing reading it back.

Why is that relevant?

The dude asked what we're pitching him and I answered.

Read the thread.

And I agree that not being in SEC isn't what has held us back, coaching is.

@247Blake
"Reports that surfaced earlier this week that Texas did NOT make Torrodney Prevot's top seven are false according to Prevot. #hookem #ut"

There's some chatter on Texas sites that Prevot went out to USCw for a camp or something last week.

Hmmm, this subject becomes a little more interesting now that Texas probably lost a committed DE recruit today (Daeshon Hall).

Interesting to see if Texas is really in it after losing Hall.

I don't think so - I think the Prevot ship has sailed from everything I've read. We've contacted a Juco DE out of Trinity Valley CC supposedly.

Off the top of my head, Cedric Reed and Reggie Wilson would be next up as returning upperclassmen with playing time. Both need to step up big this year so we don't have major drop off over those two starters. Shiro Davis (and a couple other freshmen) will get situational playing time as a speed rushers but we need others and losing both Prevot and Hall will hurt, no doubt.

Ags are all but certain that Prevot is a lock. He's stiffed both LSU and tu in the past for reasons that aren't very good, and word is Chevis is in his ear.

Of course, that's just what I've been seeing. Unless someone has some evidence I've missed, the signs point to a commit for A&M. He's shown up on campus, shown interest in us, has consistently had us in his top lists, and is in an area that has funneled into A&M for a while.

Meanwhile, he missed LSU's/Texas' camps due to "work" and, from what I've seen, hasn't made any effort or claim to visiting again. From what I can tell, LSU seems to think he'll be on their side because their LSU. I can understand that, but is there more?

I would think that A&M is definitely a player in his recruitment. Although, anyone thinking they really know what is going on in Prevot's head should prepare to be surprised or disappointed IMO.

You aggies have the Bama mindset of people being locks its ridiculous. Prevot said he is shutting it down for a while after he camps at LSU in July.

I guess we need to get possible 1st rounder Keke Mingo in his ear.

Oh, you haven't seen anything yet. Just wait until they manage to win a few games.
