LSU offers JUCO DE Isaiah Buggs: Quotes on Pg.2

Played at Ruston in high school. At Mississippi Gulf Coast CC right now.
6'4 270lbs DE. We were very interested in him out of high school but knew he wouldnt qualify so we pretty much placed him. Has his grades in order and has his offer now, along with offers from Ole Miss, Nebraska, Auburn, Oklahoma, Louisville, etc.
Supposedly he loves LSU. Would be a big get if we land him.

Yeh this kid is a monster.
With Bower and Neal heading out after 2016, the door is open at DE. And at his size, he can play LDE immediately

Would be needed to play immediately because we lose Bower, Neal, and I'm guessing Key goes to LB after 2016.

He's big time and has been working hard to qualify. He'll be part of this class if he keeps his grades up.

I'm not familiar with the rules for JUCO. If you go to a JUCO, does that mean you must stay two years?

If you didn't qualify out of high school then yes you would have to graduate a juco before you are eligible.

If you qualify out of high school but go juco for another reason you are eligible after 1 semester I believe.

Correct, assuming you are still in good academic standing after 1 semester of JUCO.

He would be able to join the team in Jan of 2017 if I'm not mistaken right after the season is over.

Yea he is.
He actually reminds me of Godchaux out of high school. Similar size to Godchaux coming out of high school and atheltic enough to play on the outside and has the strength and frame to add weight and play on the inside. He's already 270lbs and can add on more weigh with frame.
