LSU needs a QB that can throw and RBs that can run. We've got the RBs. Liggins has an arm but he isn't the pro style QB we need. Let's get away from the dual threat QB system. I wish him the best of luck at Ole Miss.

This is best for LSU. He did not fit our scheme (though I use the word loosely)

I am stoked we aren't getting him.

I am NOT in the school of thought that we have to have bodies to fill every available scholarship.

Save the spot for a real prospect next year.

We don't need to add a Rocky Duplessis, just because we have an available spot. It hurts you in the long run. Imagine were we to have that extra scholarship available this year?

Patrick Miller would be taking classes at LSU.

ETA: and any posters thinking I am just being sour about it, check my post history. Liggins is a waste of a scholarship.

Hunter Paniagua @HunterPaniagua
Jeremy Liggins rules out #LSU, wants to "represent his state," was in the ear of Cordarrelle Patterson during visit

Are you kidding me? He was recruiting Patterson to Ole Miss while they were both at LSU.

And I thought we had a good chance at both of them.

Yea this happens when you back burner a recruit that liked your school at the beginning and you put him off to only pick back up on him at the end.

I don't like our current recruiting philosophy. We don't get on OOS recruits early like we should but instead to late. Louisiana is turning into a fight year to year for the top kids.

If Patterson doesn't come here, that is the one school I want him to go to.

Great. We don't need another running qb who's out of position.

I'm not mad LSU didn't get him but I think it would have been fun to watch a QB that big play at LSU.

What about the DT from West Monroe? I saw he committed to TCU. You guys think he would switch or is he not SEC material?

I agree would hate to see him making Georgia elite, helping auburn, or make the Tennessee offense very potent.

You guys do realize he would not have played qb here. He is an amazing athletes and projected well at de. There are a number of positions he could have excelled in.

It's a bummer we lost out on an amazing athlete.

Tough to say he'd pan out as a de considering you have nothing to base that off except measurables. There's a lot more that goes into playing D than that, especially if a guy has played QB his whole life.

We'll find DL no problem, no need to waste space on a big gamble like that.

I respect that. Our negative fans are already treating him like you know who.
