Not really, it’s all about getting paid. Make sure you pay the “right” guys. Evaluation ability is the most critical ability in this generation of recruiting.

If you miss, you are in trouble. You also must be able to recruit just scholarship players, that will be the depth and culture of your team.

The NIL guys are always gonna be about themselves, the psychological catering makes this an unavoidable disposition for the athletes.

Holding a locker room together will be easier for the teams fielding rosters with very few “prima Donna’s”. It was easier when most of the team was getting something, like before NIL.

Welcome to the new age of college football. Nick Saban was right to get the hell out of there.

Everyone gets paid even those kids you think don't. You really believe any school has a roster with some kids getting paid and others not? The kids are employees. They must be paid. The schools owe billions in reparations. It's their way of paying those off. The question is, does the cost of the scholarship count in those payments? If so, typical. The schools aren't losing in this no matter the narrative. It's like the national debt. Does it really count if you have no intention of paying it back? It's just fodder used as a negotiation tactic to tax the citizens. Correlate that to college athletics now and you get the picture. The schools/govt always win. The fans/citizens, who actually foot the bills, lose every time.

TAF pays the school back for the athletic scholarships so how is the fan losing when its their choice to watch/go to games and give money to the AD/Taf?

Talent evaluation trumps that…..Florida St being 0-2 instead of 2-0 is them choosing DJU over Cam Ward.

You bring up NIL money in recruiting and that is huge… but the extremely talented players will usually only take money from programs that are winning !!!

Very seldom does a 4-5 star player select Kanas University over a Ohio State if those schools offer the same NIL deals.

You still must win and be considered an Elite Program !!
