Kelly also really stresses academics. I made a post about him on the 2nd saying I thought we'd get him and giving all the reasons I thought so. This guy could really shorten our timeline for being "back". Right now I think we are the only school that has an official nailed down, it's the UT game. Someone said the staff had a REALLY special plan for his OV. I still think we land him. What a staff and head coach we have

Reading what I have about him…it’s quite clear he will be successful at whatever he does…Football, track, engineer, chef..whatever. That’s the kinda kid we really need…smart, talented, and a hard worker. Fingers crossed.

Great academics
All northern schools are overrated academically. It's not the 1800s anymore. The media pushes that BS.

Eh, depends. But Michigan is a legit good academic school is most areas. They are quite woke, but that's not the subject at hand because it hasn't really diminished them academically. In many areas it is a great research school. The only downside it seems they have become the number one supplier of HR personnel to silicon valley.

HOWEVER, LSU can compete in the realm of engineering if you leave robotics out of it. Maybe not surpass, but shrink the gap enough to make Football + Track AND engineering academics more than acceptable and quite appealing. If you put those 3 together we are more of a "total package" with that engineering school gap narrowed.

I’ve seen a lot of names mentioned, and I admittedly don’t know who fits best. What I do know is the kid can legitimately line up on either side of the ball at multiple positions and be a force. That in itself is saying something. FREAK athlete. GDT’s.

Harbor would make for an exciting pass catching TE!

If LSU lands Harbor that opens a door for a top 3 class.

Harbor and Toviano would get us in the top 6.

We would likely need to flip Derek Williams or get another 5 star for a top 3 class though.

If he is intent on playing TE, I can’t think of a better coach to play for than Kelly, and I’d say that regardless if Kelly was still at ND. He loves an athletic, pass-catching TE and would certainly make Harbor a focus point of the offense.
