I think in the NIL "world", OSU is trying to do a more cautious, you'll make up to $XX when you come here, but we won't write you a massive check up front to get you to to sign. Schools like A&M, Miami and Tenn. have been seemingly guaranteeing 6-7 figure deals for kids up front, and I don't think other schools like OSU (or LSU or Bama to my knowledge) are going quite that far

I think that's exactly what is happening.
It sets your team up for future problems.
I'm sure lsu, bama, and ohio state do it for a player or two if need be. Thise teams are making the right decision.
I can't believe teams are guaranteeing seven figures a yr for say the 100th ranked player.
