To this point it seems that LSU is willing to let Bama spend away while making sure it has good contacts in Texas and other areas to ensure it's base spans a wide number of top recruits. Landing Paris, Brown and Adams out of Texas would be huge.
There is some logic to this. And lets be clear, LSU is ok with in-state leaving when they have a shot at equal (or better) out of state. You just have to maintain the image as not to let it get out of control.
Two problems (temporary?) with the current situation:
- they're going to LSU's biggest block to both SEC Champ and Natl Champ
- (this is what I'm trying to point out) there IS a developing image problem.
About fences...
I agree with LSU about not caring if "the fence is down". Fences keep people out as much as in. So in the case of Random LB X in Shreveport, if you devote your resources there, you may be missing on Random LB Y in Carrolton. LSU is a natl brand now. They have made the conscious effort to utilize that and choose to economize their resources taking advantage of other soft areas. Monroe is not a "soft area", it's heavily recruited. This is not popular with us fans, but if done right (lets assume Frank knows how to do it right) it works.
So at the end of the day:
- does LSU care that it's getting outworked in N LA? [maybe not]
- does LSU care that they could lose a huge chunk of the area for a very long time (i.e. it got out of control on them) [probably so]

Red, what position does Napier coach that allows to fly out on days before games? One would think that a coach would at least be prepping his position group on Fridays before a game

he's WR coach...
you'd also think he has other recruits to focus on as well.

Exactly - Stud with another weakness - recruiting in NLa

That's crazy then. I mean its not fricking humn. He gets out of practice hops a flight in and out and coaches WR's for a hardass perfectionist... It makes no sense

Because i was told hooties mom was annoyed with how much napier was over here and just shite like that
But what annoys mom must not annoy hootie and thats what really counts
and hootie tweeted that whoever treated his mom the best would get his commitment

wait, so Napier, WR coach at Bama, showing up every Thursday and Friday is just hearsay?

Frank, your gonna blame that shite in frank?
I'm talking about the visits, the contact, and the amount of effort put out. Frank can't do everything, but he can light a fire under Stud and get him moving.
Perhaps this is why Stud has been demoted, though. Again.
It is time for Stud to go.

there's always the REC, Guice, King, and the good Eye Doctor.
And there's more than just Nappier showing up. In 2011 Napier had the title of "Quality Control Assistant", and he was freaking everywhere. Fl one day, LA the next, then over to Tx. This is what he specializes in. And note, he wasn't a coach; so the coaching limits didn't apply. Bama uses several titles like that are considered "administration", not coaches. They have a small army of those guys.

depends on how you read the tea leaves.
Les stayed about an hour longer than expected, so...
1 - Great visit, planning arrival, going through the #7 lineage, nonalcoholic champagne toast
2 - Les begging, pleading, crying, asking Hootie to hold him
3 - Standard visit but Bama had plane held up due to mystery weather event while they visited Tony Brown
