In response first getting fournette would be awesome but we
Need this young man. Loston is a senior only jefferson has played well at safety ! He would start with jefferson if he came to LSU! He plays a position we need help at!!

Getting a bunch of five stars is great but we need this safety !

Has he ever had any grade concerns?

Another thought is that he has sent financials to both schools so they can both have in unlimited contact. If he is really torn, why not. Bama has one or two with grade issues and I assume LSU does too, so neither would be hurting themselves by guaranteeing Hootie a spot.

Jefferson has gotten like 40 snaps all year. I'd like to see a rotation of Paris, Jefferson, and Thompson at safety next year.

Jamal Adams could probably play as well

No. And transcripts are delivered on officials (at least by then) and Hootie just got done with one.

Yep, new rule. That binds the school to him, not him to the school. But he can only do one school. IF he had signed this with LSU there would be no need for CLM to wait until Sun to visit (1st day of new contact period).

Looks like LSU may have 2; same for Bama... you are correct. The new financial agreement isn't binding if the recruit doesn't qualify. So for this situation, I don't think it applies at all anyway.

My GUESS is it's just some preliminary stuff for the two schools which he knows 1 he will attend. Getting ready for EE type stuff (e.g. transcripts, immunization records, residence proof, etc). And sending it to both may be intentional to "keep close to the vest", which is how Hootie has done his recruitment all the way. And he may just be making sure he's covering his options (or for Mom's sake).

I think everyone can agree with that. Any speculation beyond that is just crazy speak. Hootie has a spot saved at either school. Smart move on his part.

Agreed. And I keep trying to point out that, at least to me, means Hootie was truly undecided at least until recently and that it is NOT the same as LC or CRob.

Hell, the kid may (doubtful) still be on the fence. So hoping we don't give the Gump lurkers negative attacks to post links about on Twitter.

Bottom Line is we'll be fine with or without Hootie. Sure, I wish he would choose us, but if he doesn't, it'll be okay. I'm encouraged that we seem to have identified and corrected our problem in NLA by sending Brick up there. Too late for this year, unfortunately.

It would definitely hurt to lose hootie since he is very talented but also being from Louisiana hurts even more. We at least have Jamal Adams to fall back on. It was much worse losing CRob in my opinion. We didn't have anyone as good as him to fall back on. We have plenty of great talent in this class but none maybe as hyped per say like CRob.

If he is gone, then at least Sunday night is the last time we have to worry about wasting time continuing to hound him and he doesn't want to come. Same with Cam- I think he made the wrong choice, but at least he made it early enough so that our coaches can continue to recruit someone who truly wants to become part of the Tiger Nation. We don't want another talent jerking us around, like the Landon Collins mess last year.

IMO this could be good. Miles shows Hootie the lot coming/potentially coming to LSU and how he'll fit in the night before he announces. He can sleep on the idea of building one of the best classes ever.

I think that deep down we all know where the kid is going even though it maybe hard to admit it to ourselves. (myself included) We will be okay either way. The sky isn't going to fall. The staff just needs to really work hard to win back that area of the state. Brick may be the solution, we shall see.
