ETA: The Recruiting Visit Tracker has Simone Rose and Zoey Molomo at Florida this weekend and Izzy Stassi, D.Caylor and Presley Duke at Oklahoma.

Tigerbait357, have you heard which recruits are coming to LSU next weekend? I assume some will come since there is home FB game.

I dont know the official dates unfortunately Jay has kept things pretty under wraps but I do know LSU will be hosting Stassi, Dulcy Caylor, Jayla Hang, Molmo, and Hezly at some point. Simone Rose may potentially visit although I'm not fully convinced on that one yet.

Like I said this recruiting class will be small (likely 2 kids, maybe 3). Obvious Hezly remains the #1 target for LSU but LSU really wants Presley Duke as well.

Stassi was someone LSU has recruited pretty hard for a while now but recent injuries have potentially made her not as high of a target as what she once was

I wouldn't expect any commitments until October probably unless someone shuts it down earlier than expected

Not a great weekend to go to Florida. They suck in football and that rainy game looked miserable. I will take Hezley and Presley for $1000 Alex! (That’s who I want)

Ole Piss is our only home game in October. Then you have bama, vandy, and Oklahoma. I would pick Vandy or bama, although beating Okla in fb would be funny and fun for the gymnasts.

Presley gonna come down to LSU/OU and Hezley Florida/LSU. I trust Jay with recruiting though so it'll be fun to see how all of it plays out.

I'm sure they will look to strike w/ the iron hot coming off the natty and a lot of momentum around the program right now, including the NIL aspect which seems to be on another level at least for the women sports at LSU

LSU may be hosting Dulcy and Stassi this weekend. I’m gonna ask around.

Tigerbait 357, You are right that OK will be our competition with Presley. She obviously had a great visit with the Sooners. Let's hope Jay can work his magic.

Looks like Stassi canceled the rest of her visits and just committed to OU

Wasn’t expecting her in the class but surprised she shut it down so early

I’m honestly not surprised by this. She looks like every single other one of their brunette clones that have ever come through their program in the last decade

Though I can’t remember if Mustari was offered a scholarship to OU and I agree they are our biggest threat to winning Presley, I do know for a fact that generally speaking at most of the top universities, in state recruits tend not to get offered a scholarship because their tuition is already so low, the funds are better spent on another prospect. In OU’s case, In state tuition is under 10K a year while out of state tuition is around 26K annually before room and board

Kendall Torrens to Oklahoma. It looks like they only had 2 spots in this class. With roster sizes and scholarship limits likely changing soon they might make more offers. But if they stick to 2 it’s looking better for LSU with Presley.

OU filling up very fast this year. I don't recall commits committing so fast in previous years? Fingers crossed we have a good chance with Presley.

LSU coaches were at Presley gym earlier today

And OU just picked up commitment #3, not sure what their scholarship chart numbers are looking like but they filled up pretty quick

They’re fully out unless they plan on pulling a few from their current underclassmen or incoming freshman

EDIT: unless my count is wrong, they’re now up to 14 scholarships for the 2027 season which is mathematically impossible

I’d be happy with a class of Duke and Hezly, and maybe one more potentially. It’ll be interesting to see how is plays out

One thing I love about our 2025 class is LSU signed some real gems that have bloomed pretty late in recruiting process into really strong AA gymnasts like Mustari and Wenner.

Caitlin Smith is apparently not on athletic scholarship so it’s only 1 over. But schools (if they can afford it) could possibly have up to 20 on scholarship by the time this recruiting class gets there and some programs are likely taking that into consideration. I’ve seen a few people say Oklahoma is hosting recruits again this weekend and have potentially up to 3 more offers/spots. Will get interesting to see which schools are banking on the new rules which haven’t even been finalized.

Edit: looks like OU is definitely hosting recruits again. Sofia Estrada will be there. I was hoping she’d visit LSU.

It seems like we are behind in hosting recruits this year compared to other colleges. Our FB games have been away but we now have several consecutive home games coming up which ,hopefully, LSU has recruits coming to the campus. We still have an opportunity with Jayla Hang, Dulcy Caylor, and Hezly. Presley must be interested in LSU since the coaches visited her gym again.....keeping high hopes.

According to the official NCAA WAG recruits and commits spreadsheet, Caitlin smith is on scholarship. Unless they’ve made a mistake about it, that’s what CGN is reporting.

Second point: I thought the new rule stated that roster sizes cap at 20 and scholarships at 15? Maybe I’m just confused. Can someone clarify this new rule for me please?

I’ve heard from multiple sources Caitlin isn’t on athletic scholarship. I don’t have confirmation on that but it would make sense. They could be funding her through nil at this point. A lot of people thought she would’ve done a medical retirement by now or will soon.

If the proposal passes, my understanding (again from others explaining it) is that schools will be capped at 20. Any or all can be on full or partial athletic scholarship if the school can afford it and wants to. I think the SEC schools will have no problem with that and take advantage of it. It could potentially eliminate walk ons at some schools and will certainly make recruiting challenging for schools with small budgets.

I’ve seen it explained like this multiple places but if anyone knows for sure this info is wrong, please correct me. I’d really like to know the truth whatever it is! Lol
