It's not just him saying, his family said it from the start. They dont expect him to leave early unless he's a 1st rounder. Now surely they may not stick to that, but that was the plan.
I wonder what kind of role his brother plays in the though process, if any? Christian was a big recruit (thought not quite has highly ranked as Trendon), but he played all 4 years at Indiana. Is he someone that you say he loved all 4 years of college basketball? Or, would he advise his brother to get out into the pro game ASAP in light of the fact he didn't have a very significant pro career?

His brother plays a HUGE role in the process. He is the one that practically trained and prepared Trendon for this process. I would venture to say, if Trendon is not a guaranteed 1st rounder, his brother will advise him to return for another season. JMO

Cant see him not returning. Hes not an NBA player unless he get much quicker and better on the defensive end. But hes still a Freshman so theres a lot of time for him to improve these things. Or hide them next year with some true length and athleticsm in the lineup with him

We need Cook too. He looks quick enough to stay in front of faster point guards.

Eric Gaines arrived in BR this morning for his official visit. Let’s see if we can lock this down.

There are only two rounds..
Next the G league economics have changed dramatically since his brothers day.
IMO Watford should not leave.. but he might decide to get paid to play in the G league for a couple of years Instead of sevelop at LSU.

His dad is close to retiring. His parents went to Jamaica last November. Very nice family. I think his folks would love another season to travel around and watch him play college ball. I really hope he stays.

Fyi..LeBlanc will be a sophomore eligibility wise. Could play 3 years if he gets a waiver. If not he will have 2 1/2 years of eligibility after next fall.

Where is all the Kuminga buzz coming from? Pay sites?
The latest updates regarding five-star prospects Jonathan Kuminga and Moussa Cisse are not all that promising for John Calipari and the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kuminga is a 6’8 forward who’s rated as the top prospect in the nation for 2021 is still debating reclassifying to the class of 2020. If he does make the switch, Corey Evans of Rivals doesn’t see Lexington as his destination.
In an interview with Ben Roberts of the Lexington Herald-Leader, Evans said, “I don’t see him going there in 2020. If it goes 2021, I think it’s more of a legitimate option for him. But, if he reclassifies, I could see one of Auburn or LSU or Texas Tech snagging him.”
Evans also mentioned that the Nebraska Cornhuskers are another potential option for the five-star.
As for Cisse, he maybe even more important for the Wildcats as he’s a 6’10 center who could fill the void of Nick Richards and Nate Sestina next season.
Currently a 2021 prospect, Roberts reports Cisse “will almost certainly reclassify to 2020”.
While Kentucky is still an option for Cisse, the Herald-Leader reports that Florida State, LSU and Memphis are the three front runners which may be hard for Calipari and company to overcome.
Regardless, Kentucky’s 2020 roster is already loaded with six signees and should have a handful of returners from their current team.
