I don't think LSU is recruiting Sheldon Jeter any longer, but I'm not going to remove him from the list until he commits somewhere. He was actually on an official visit to South Carolina this weekend for the LSU game.
He is currently favoring South Carolina, Wisconsin and Penn State.
It is looking like Shane Hammink is the wing player LSU is preferring in this class.

Do they have any footage of Shane Hammink playing against higher level guy is kinda gage how his game would be.

Just what comes up on youtube. I think that is all prior to his going to Canarias, which is a high level place.
Jerry Myer, Rivals basketball recruiting analyst, just posted on the national board that he is hearing Darryl Milburn won't be eligible and is heading to JUCO. I guess that settles that issue.

I am sure you would have said Bubba, but any idea on a big in this class?

The only names I'm hearing are Jason Carter and Orlando Sanchez.
It's not looking good with Sanchez. Carter is out for the year with a knee injury - don't know the severity.
I have no doubt that there are other names out there that we don't know about. It still shocks me that the LSU media outlets don't cover basketball recruiting at all. I have not seen the Hammink story reported anywhere but here, and that has been more than a week. That is a great story and should be a lead story in The Advocate. (Geert's son, born in BR, playing at famous Euro prep school, etc. Lots of storylines)
Also, the fact that a national writer is reporting that Milburn has eligibility issues is sad. Our local media should have been all over this story. Milburn is the highest ranked player in Louisiana that has not committed, and I have never seen a story on him.

Agree with you. I heard through someone who either pays for a site or has contacts that one of those reports was trying to speak with Geert or Shane's coach, not sure that counts for much.
I am still shocked after TJ addressed recruiting and that he felt good about two other guys no local media outlet tried to find the two guys. Team is significantly better and on a winning streak would think press would be looking to run more stories while there is growing interest.

Not full time. I'm sure every guard on the roster could play a few minutes of point, but that is not what he is or where he will play.

Some of the scouting reports I read on Hammink sound as if he could give you the 10 minutes we will need to rest Hickey, probably doesn't need that much rest.

Stringer will be the back up point guard, unless another is signed. He's not the best, but is good enough for five minutes per half.
If we sign Coleman, I look for Stringer to come off the bench as a backup 1 and 2.

Any info on these too guys from the recruiting list: Reggie Jordan (PF, not ranked, Tex.); Malcolm Thompson Jr. (PF, not ranked, Tex.)

Last I checked, they were mid-major to low-major level. UNT, Texas State, etc.

Rivals just uploaded a profile of Shane Hammink. Still no stories or coverage of his recruitment in any LSU related media.
It has now been a week since his name surfaced.
Hammink
Note: Rivals shows him with offers from LSU, Iowa and Florida, along with interest from Miami. Other reports had shown an offer from Miami.

New name in the hat for him.
I hope we get him here and start the LSU legacy recruits.

Trent should go to zwolle and recruit Joevoeski Mitchell... He was Mr. Basketball of Louisiana in 2009

Recruit him to do what, laundry? Wasn't eligible out of high school, dropped out of junior college.

Bubba,
Do you anticipate LSU signing both coleman and hammink?
That would give us three wing players (with Morgan) in this class.
Plus returning players Turner, Stringer, Issac and Ludwig on the wing. Are we going to a zone trap defense?

If they sign 3 wings players (Eddie isn't a wing, can't defend it at all) then look for someone like Hammink to redshirt. If they get Hammink though, I suspect they'll let Coleman go. My concerns are where is that other big man at? They need two in this class and I haven't found one they are highly recruiting.

Darryl Milburn (SG, 6-2, 200) Baton Rouge (McKinley): 4-star, No. 19 SG and 104 overall. Top-five Louisiana player. LSU has not offered. Has a reported offer from Oklahoma State. Tulane and Tennessee are involved, and possibly Texas A&M.
Looks like he won't qualify and will be headed to JUCO or Prep School.
