There's no real way to know. The current assumption is that he's still committed to LSU, but there is no indication for which class.

I think he needs another year at LSUE, but that's purely my opinion. He's a big kid and good hitter, but I think he needs another year to fill out and develop. I also wonder if he has any plans to get back on the mound.

I think Clauss and Harden are scheduled for the La Crosse Loggers in the Northwoods league, but I haven't been able to confirm yet.

Clauss is showing on the La Crosse Loggers roster for this summer now.

Ronnie Rantz said on the broadcast last night that BRCC is making a coaching change after this season. That program needs help. I wonder if they try to get a low level guy from a 4 year school like Champ Artigues to try to build it up.

Let Chief take over BRCC and build it into our pipeline.

He doesn't even want to be in a role that requires him to recruit off campus at LSU.

I think he's happy staying in his lane.

I think BRCC pays so little and commits so little to their program that they're going to struggle to hire an assistant from any D1 school. They need someone with relationships and an ability to raise funds. I'm not hopeful they will find it without some intervention from one or more of the D1 schools in the state. And I don't know how feasible or even legal that is.

Michael Braswell made his pro debut for the Royals complex league team on May 2nd. One inning pitched, 1 hit, 1 K. It will be fun to follow his progression and see if he makes it to full season ball this year.

As much as it pains me to say it, they should go and get someone from the travel ball ranks. Having played in that system as it was growing into the monster it is now, I know tons of guys that now run their own orgs.

While I think they're inherently scammy organizations, some of those guys truly just live and breathe baseball and annoy the shite out of local businesses until they have no choice but to give them money. Unfortunately, all the guys I know are in their late 20s/early 30s and I'm not sure BRCC wants to go in that direction. shite I even know a guy who runs an org out in AZ that played at BRCC.

Someone like that will do better than what they have been for the last decade.

That makes a ton of sense. And I think the budgetary constraints will require them to go after someone in their 20s or 30s.

Yeah, if you really need help with funding, you gotta go out and get someone with absolutely zero shame in going to businesses hat in hand. I've often found that to be a charteristic required for people who run travel ball orgs

And to be clear, I don't mean the Theriot's/Cressee's of the world. Speaking of, Theriot was offered the hitting coach job in 2018 but turned it down because he didn't want to work with Paul.

I mean the guys who rent out a warehouse with turf and have teams from 7U-14U.

411 and slugging over 700 with 18 stolen bases. Not too shabby. Fielding 920 but can't make much of that not knowing where he mostly plays. He played SS in their conference tourney. I'll have to look for more info on him.

ETA: Class of 22, so he has to be an older kid.

He will be a redshirt senior next year.

I still like the kid from William and Mary better. He’s young for his class and had similar number but against D1.

Hard to believe we missed on Lucas Lawrence.

Big frame lefty, proven against top competition, great bloodlines, from a pipeline HS.

Is that Joe's kid? If so, did we just not heavily pursue him? Joe and his wife both went to LSU.

It is Joe's kid. I don't think we heavily pursued him. I think his sister is committed to play soccer at LSU.

Thanks for the reply. Hope that one doesn't come back to bite us.
