Didn't realize how stacked the '25 class was. 12 Top 100 kids per Perfect Game. 8 Top 51 kids.

I don't see PG as the end all and be all, but that is really impressive.

The new roster isn’t posted yet, but it looks like the returning players profiles have been updated. I haven’t found any of the newcomers yet.

ETA: From what I can tell, Jake Brown and Ethan Frey will be changing numbers. From Twitter pics, I think Brown will be 7. I haven't seen Frey's new number. Connor Simon has a new profile showing him as a RS Junior. Grant Fontenot does not have a new profile.

Interesting
Wonder if Cooley ever officially entered the portal or going down to LSU E may not warrant having to enter the portal
I don't remember Cooley ever announcing anything after the season

Looks like the roster will be closer to the 40 so not much attrition will be needed after fall practice

Never saw any announcement for a press conference from Jay - in the past they usually started classes a week ago, so maybe he will schedule press conference later since they just wrapped up football one and to not conflict with that one

The reason there wasn't a baseball press conference today is because Jay went to Washington to watch Crews' debut.

D1Baseball lists us playing two fall exhibitions this year

11/3 against Samford in Biloxi
11/10 at ULL

I’m assuming no game at home because of the construction stuff.

Interesting. Samford signed a kid named Michael Gupton from Gulf Coast State. He spent his freshman year at NC State. He has some of the fastest run times recorded at a lot of the scouting events. Just an absolute burner.

If true about Sheerin’s injury, it’s an example that there’s no such thing as having too many pitchers. Sheerin is (was) probably going to be key member of this year’s staff.

I’d imagine we’d still have him at some point during the season or is knee surgery take a year to recover for a pitcher

Depends on whether it’s a tear of the ACL, MCL or meniscus.
