Stuff like this is why losing Moffett is a head-scratcher

What do you mean? Do you think that Jay didn’t want to keep Moffett?

It's almost like people don't put 2 and 2 together when talking about how the A&M staff was recruiting kids to texas with burner phones and Moffett committing to texas right after they get there.

I don’t really understand this one. But who knows, maybe he’s an innings eater in the midweek

82 Ks in 64 innings at LSUE as a freshman, fastball up to 98. Experience starting and relieving in college. Louisiana ties.

To be fair, I've seen 22 BB's in 33 IP for Benge...not 33 BB's.

If he is hitting 97-98 it shouldn't be asked why are they taking him.

11 HBP, thats where 33 free passes come from in 33 IP

Just cant ignore those 11 HBP in only 33 IP IMO, thats a ton

Chris Cortez walked 40 in 41 innings and hit 4 in 2023 before arguably being A&M’s best pitcher in the post season this year. You don’t turn down 98/99, just try to develop it

He went from 165 as a freshman at LSUE to 180 as a sophomore at DBU and gained like 6mph on his fastball.

Given his experience and local ties, he's worth a flier with an upper 90s fastball.

Yep. They’re not all gonna 98ip with 70 hits 2.23 era and a 1 whip. Gotta project a bit on some, and hope a couple hit

I've said it before but the winning staff recipe seems to be:

- a couple guys that can go 6 regularly but threaten to go 8 on occasion
- a few guys that can go 3-5 consistently
- a couple guys that can be effective twice in a weekend
- a handful of guys that can get you anywhere from 1-4 outs in an outing.

I think we're going to have the pieces to find that, but we'll need some of these lottery tickets to hit.

Yeah its somewhere around that formula. We’ll need one of mayer or benge or dorsey to bust out and be a guy probably
But id also like to know if we are getting herring or not

With all the fliers we’re taking,it would also help have a Jared Bradford/Louis Coleman type that could close on Friday (if needed) and if not, start on Sunday
