Seeing you have some insight into a player that may return (not Bear).
The next significant returns would be Herring or Ulloa?

Edit: misspelled bear

Obviously herring would be more significant

Clearly.
Seems like 1. Herring 2. Bear 3. Ulloa

Who is up next? Braswell?

I’d argue Guidry to be in the conversation for the most important guys we need back. Would be 3rd year in Jay’s program and we need guys like that as leaders in the clubhouse. He’s a bit more likely than the others to be fair. If he just starts landing that fastball on the edges to match that slider of his he’d be lights out

Do you guys like braswell over Dickinson? I really like braswell but I feel he’s more replaceable than herring or Jones. And I think we need proven pitchers more than anything right now

I have zero info on either of those guys tbh. I just lucked into some info due to a friend being close to said player. People in this thread previously were correct (and I was wrong) about how Jay is going about the roster. He’s not 100% back yet but it’s looking up.

You talking about the mindset of bringing in as much offense as possible and finding places to put them?

Talking about recruiting over guys via the portal. We’re going to probably see a guy back if we don’t recruit over him

I think we have enough pitching coming in that could make up for bit getting Herring back. I don't know if we have a real SS if Braswell doesn't come back. Sounds like Dickinson will have a shot but he's mostly been a 2B.

There's simply more unknowns in the infield than on the staff imo.

Interesting. So if this particular player comes back it’s potentially because we missed out on a portal target?

Not necessarily missed. Just didn’t find what we wanted

Hell yeah. Which team? Great to hear tho he could be a huge break out candidate. Our two best pitchers could be two players on the team already(possibly 3 with Herring)

Chase Shores
Jaden Noot
Herring

Not to mention the bevy of pitchers we picked up in the portal with very high innings pitched.

Grab a couple more bats. Hopefully a surprise or two on draft night from a high end commit we didn’t think had a chance to make it to campus. Happens every year I feel like.

Also we lose a player or two that we didn’t think even had a chance of getting drafted. MLB is so unpredictable
