I was just able to put their numbers into a sheet. They currently have $2,074,050 to sign McLean and someone else.
They have about $1,240,350 to sign others if they don't sign McLean. So they'll have more to work with than I thought.

McLean should go over slot and I think they have 2 guys other than Young to work on with that money but, yes, they should be able to get a deal done if Young wants to. I guess the big twist would be McLean going way, way over slot and them dumping what's left on somebody not named Young.

The Miami P has already turned them down.

Probably still would have looked for infield depth. Makes LSU more appealing for him if Young leaves, though.

Im okay with this. I know he was an improvement for us defensively but it was still a lot of hoping by us for fixing his hitting which was outright horrible.
