Team USA loses in 10. I watched this loss and the loss to Japan and the bottom line is Bianco and team USA just have no idea how to handle the international extra inning rules. They do dumb things and can’t execute bunts offensively or defensively when everyone knows they’re coming.

Keeping up with the whole time they have been playing. The biggest issue was offense even before the extra innings. They just did not hit very well throughout the tournament.

Agree there as well. Subpar offense excluding the win over Netherlands

Sorry if already posted, but nice blurb about Kling in Keith Law's prospect outside his top 100.
quote:
Paxton Kling, OF, Central High (Martinsburg, Pa.)
Scouts joked that Kling was the most unsignable player in the draft class this year, as he hadn’t met with scouts or returned forms to them at all through this cycle, so it wasn’t a surprise when he formally withdrew his name from the draft and will instead end up at LSU, where he’ll be draft-eligible again as a sophomore in 2024. He’s a projectable center fielder with plus speed and a plus arm, with loose hands and an easy swing. After adding strength this winter, he looked much better at the plate this spring, answering some of the bigger questions scouts had about his present skillset. He has played well enough this spring that he could have gone in the late first to early second round if he indicated he was signable, and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him go in the top 10 in two years.

The Skenes recruitment is so funny to me having read ours, Hogs, and States board. All 3 teams think they lead and are getting him. Should be fun.

We need more pitching so if we don’t get him I will be disappointed.

I feel like if he wants to be competitive and is the one and done player I think he is then LSU should be the favorite.
I don’t know what State loses or retains.
Arkansas is looking to lose C, 2B, SS, 3B, LF, CF, RF, DH, and their top two pitchers. They retain only Stovall and have two back ups with a little experience.

The entire team didn’t really play all that well. Morgan and Crews did not do much. The hottest member on the team was Gonzalez from Ole Miss and the catcher Teal from VA. They couldn’t hit the ball versus average pitching at best. They didn’t do their selves any favors in extras bunting runners over or coming up with big hits.

Good interview with Paxton on Mikie's show today for anyone interested. Awesome kid and a funny story about taking his name out of the draft. Can't wait to see him play.

So Marucci made an Instagram post doing that whole customizing thing for their gloves
And one guy pictured in the post was Jaden Noot so interesting to see that he’s in the area

The Team USA batting average is only .219 in 6 games. (only 34 hits in 6 games or 5.7 per game)
Opponents are only batting .186 so the pitching has been good.
Crews and Morgan are a combined 4 for 29 (4 singles) with only 2 RBI and 6 runs scored. They did draw 8 walks - 6 by Crews.
But it is not only them. Just 3 hitters are better than .222 batting average.

I mean that post had Noot, Guidry, Jones, and Neal

Updated my table of player rankings with the pre-draft updates. No guarantees, but I think I got everyone. Ordered primarily by mlb.com rankings, as I have typically found those to be most representative of actual draft location. If anyone has a list of guys in the BA 500, I'll incorporate/update.
