I saw Ruddell has some 100mph exit velos at the plate also. Sounds like all 3 freshman OF coming in can play.
They're all really good. Kling is just on a different level. The OF clears out some next year, and we're mainly on infielders in that class so far...so expect to see them all sooner rather than later. Kling will play next year, and the others may see some spot duty...but year 2, with Pearson and Stevenson, is when they'll be expected to pop.

Waldrep to Florida #2.
Wonder where Skenes will slot in. Top 5 IMO.

Who is the current top 5?
White, Waldrep, Ahuna, and who else?
ETA: Berry was #1 last year, so we've taken the top spot for 2 years in a row.

Also, didn’t realize Crawford transferred to Tennessee. He’s going pro anyway so

Waldrep responsible for Team USA’s loss today. Serves him right for picking UF! I kid …sorta

Skenes will bump Keaschall out of the top 5.

If any other recruits pull their name out of the MLB draft it will probably be on Friday. I'd like to see Snelling do that but don't see that happening.

Not sure that actually means anything? He is very much considering the draft.

I want to get as many pitchers to camp as possible. Tebrake is really important for 2023 bc of his starting experience. If you lose Tebrake, the rotation gets a little more worrisome. This is why Wes visited him in person. I know Hurd is an ace, but who knows if/when he'll be ready in 2023. Without Tebrake, you still have a bunch of talented, but unknown/inexperienced, arms to start. You may be looking at another committee type approach.
Catcher is another priority. You can't count on Skenes, or if he'll even catch much if he comes. Neal would make me feel good. I think he could play right away if needed. Need Jones or Frey, too. Luckily, I think Jay and company have plenty of time to talk to them all. I have to believe they have a backup plan in place to keep from having to sit on Milazzo and Travinski and a true freshman not named Brady Neal.
Final area of interest would be Romero and Guidry. Never say never on Romero. I wish Guidry would pull his name out now. I think infield is another area that I have to believe Jay and company have a backup plan, even if that means hard selling Dugas to return and/or looking at Pearson in the infield and/or taking a no-name/upside guy to develop.
I have zero concerns with the outfield and DH positions.

Is the draft considering him? He’s pooped up on like 1 top 300 list. At this point he would be signing for a pretty insignificant amount.

Frey seems like a guy that a team would take higher than he should go based on his potential, with most of their money tied up elsewhere and an already strong farm system, to see if he'd bite on a little bit of bait. Basically no risk, high reward. He has a pro ready build and athleticism for 1B/DH/RF.
