Hey Project. When is the deadline for drafted players to sign? I've seen some tweet and such that Romo and Rockies are like 1 million off as stated not getting hopes up but just wondering

LSU picked up a commit this evening from Zeb Ruddell. He’s a 2022 OF from Neville.

Every year we need to get our hopes up of a player not signing. Only to be disappointed when he signs in the 11th hour. Why stop tradition now? I'm on board.

How many total players are on the roster as of right now? I've lost track. I'm assuming they will carry a lot with the limits lifted

40. I have the running count in an off-season roster thread on the rant.

I really thought we would take more of an advantage this year and have a roster closer to 45 or even 50.
I am curious what other schools such as Vandy, Arky, UF etc. have for numbers.

If you bring in 46 or 50 guys for the fall, chances are you'll be right around 40 when the spring rolls around. I don't think the coaches were interested in what would amount to a cattle call tryout.

I wouldn't go above 40 otherwise you are back in the same boat after next season, trying to bring in the signing class.
50 is really unmanageable
Only reason to add above 40 is to bring in some transfers that might help
There will most likely still be some attrition from the signing class once fall ball wraps up

You need to add Aiden Moffett from Taylorsville, MS, RHP. Committed to LSU yesterday, 2022

Will do, thanks for the heads up.

Getting one from my backyard, wow.

Found an article about a camp Pearl River CC was running a few years ago that has a picture of Moffett as a 13 year old. He's the kid in the middle that is as big as the JUCO and pro players that were there doing the coaching: LINK
ETA: He has an older brother that played at PRCC and West Alabama in D2.

I’m wondering if he’s related to a former Raiders WR, Tim Moffett??

Drew Romo has signed with the Rockies.

So close yet so far, at least we could afford to lose that one

On a similar note, Jacob Wyeth is playing in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate League right now. He's only played in 5 games so far, but he's slashing .412/.545/.921. He hit 2 HRs last night. He's walked 4 times and struck out 3.
I don't know what the competition looks like in that league, but it's still encouraging.
Hayden Travinski's team (Wisconsin Rapids Rafters) starts their season tonight in their pod of the Northwoods League.
Alex Milazzo is supposed to be playing in the South Florida League but hasn't yet.
Braden Doughty was scheduled to play on the Baton Rouge Rougarou, but they aren't playing this season. I've not found him on any rosters anywhere yet.
That covers all the catchers I think.

Exciting about wyeth, do we know anything about how good he is with the glove?
Posted on 7/1/20 at 8:05 pm to ProjectP2294
Saw him today. Spoke to HS coach, kid was throwing 83 at a PBR event in January, pG got him at 92 a couple weeks ago, and they got him at 94 this past week. Kid is big and only gonna get stronger. Tigers getting a good one boys!

Project do you have a list of returning and incoming players playing summer ball? Thanks in advance.
