Is Bryan Lawrence of Barbe not still committed for '18?
As mentioned only slightly earlier in this thread (same page as the post with your question) Lawrence decommitted from LSU and signed with Southeastern.

LSU picked up a commitment from RHP Connor Phillips for the 2019 class yesterday. He is from Magnolia, TX.

Templet and Wooley no longer on roster

Maybe LSU gets a shot
Turang. Once thought to be the top guy in the class, Turang saw his star fade a tiny bit, but his overall tools up the middle won't let him drop far.
Brice Turang, SS, Santiago HS (Corona, Calif.). Though his stock fell slightly during the summer, he's still a quality shortstop with a promising bat and speed, not to mention big league genes (father Brian).

I see that two of the 2018 commitments are marked as signed. Do the baseball recruits generally avoid the early signing period? Or perhaps the information on who signed in the early period is just not published?

The ones I marked as signed were ones that I found articles for that said as much.
Most, if not all, of the guys listed signed, but LSU doesn't put anything official out until they come to campus. I saw signing day pictures on Twitter from pretty much all of them, but it's not always a big news story, so only a couple guys were actually mentioned in articles.

I don't know squat about Beloso as a baseball player but I watched him in the high school football championship game and he was unstoppable.
Kid played with an insane level of effort all game long. Look forward to seeing him in P&G.

That's good to hear. I like multi sport guys and effort guys. Beloso is one of two incoming Freshman that already has a summer collegiate league spot lined up. As of right now it looks like he will be playing in the Great Lakes Leagues Lima Locos, in Lima, Ohio.
Also already listed on a roster is Gavin Dugas for the Danville Dans in the Prospect League. He will be the 4th incoming Freshman to play for the Dans, following Josh Smith, Nick Webre, and Mason Doolittle. Brandt Broussard also played for the Dans last season.
To my knowledge we haven't had a player in the Great Lakes league in last several years, if ever. Scheduled to play with Beloso there is current freshman Braden Doughty.
I have a few other assignments figured out, with Cabrera, Webre, and Doolittle going to the Cape, and John Kodros going to the Charlottesville Tom Sox in the Valley League.
Most of the leagues haven't really started updating their rosters yet though. I would expect a few more Freshman to play somewhere, we've been sending one to the Gaitherburg Giants in the Cal Ripken league for a couple years now. I would expect that to continue. Also, a lot more leagues are opening up to incoming freshmen.
We usually send a ton of guys to the Northwoods League, but it's already looking like the team will be spread out over more leagues this year than in any year since I've been heavily tracking it.

If anyone is interested, all of the player rankings are free on Perfect Game right now. I think it only goes through the new year. At least that's what I remember from last year.

It seems like it has been forever since we had a player in the Valley league. Used to go to games as a kid and they always had good talent.
Some of those venues were my favorites until I went to a few Madison Mallards (Northwoods league) games while I lived in Chicago the last few years. They pack the house every night and have some of the best concessions I've had at a game. $5 for local brews and all kinds of local sausages and fried cheese curds. Great, great place.

2019 RHP commit Farmer Abendroth from Vicksburg has transferred to IMG Academy in Florida. He will join 2018 signee Levi Kelly and 2019 commit Ray Torres there. They may not play on the same teams there because IMG has 3 separate teams from what I can tell.

I thought this thread was pinned.

Surprises me that we pull so many kids from Florida. With all the schools there you would think all kids would be into home state schools. Beautiful weather year round and good baseball played there.

Hopefully we can hang on to the catcher from Ruston. Not sure if he sticks at that spot but he has even more potential than Doolittle

CJ Willis has much more upside from the plate than Doolittle.
He has a ton and I mean a ton of room to fill out, whether he ends up at C or 1B full time he's a power threat at the plate that would be a huge pull for Mainieri.

Prep Baseball Report recently profiled 2018 signee Gavin Dugas of Houma Christian. He's currently listed as an infielder, but some recruiting writers have speculated that he may make a move to the outfield based on his speed: LINK
He is currently scheduled to play in the Prospect League this summer for the Danville Dans. Josh Smith, Brandt Broussard, Nick Webre, as well as the departed Masons Doolittle and Templet, have played for Danville in recent years. Drew Bianco is also scheduled to play for Danville this summer with Dugas and brother Ben Bianco, a freshman catcher at Louisville.

Lsu picked up another commit tonight. Nolan Cain tweeted out the box bound gif about 5 minutes ago.
