Talked to Basiel Williams and his parents today at the Box. They said 9 or 10 offers. Been to Ole Miss. Going to Miss State and Florida state this month. Said they had a great time at LSU. The coaches were great!!! LSU definitely a possibility!!

Gotcha.
I'm still out on the kid tho. Has two more years to convince me he's a baseball player and not an athlete playing baseball.

It's good to have some of those guys though. They end up being really high ceiling guys. Often, their athleticism gets them drafted and they take their development lumps in the minors though.

From last week:
LSU 2019 commit Jacob Scherer of St Paul's beat a loaded John Curtis team, holding them to 1 run in 4 innings of work.

2019 RHP Jacob Scherer, a Louisiana State commit, got the start on the mound for St. Paul’s. A strong, bulky 6-foot-3 right-hander, Scherer sat 81-84 mph with cutting action on his fastball. Although he struggled with command at times, walking six in four innings of work, Scherer held a potent Patriot offense in check by striking out seven batters.

Late to the party on Basiel Williams. So I'll give you the scoop that I feel that can be released at this time.
Probably the second most gifted athlete ive ever been around. The first being Christian Campbell. If he would have stuck to football, he could have been a two sport college athlete.
Many people were skeptical, including myself and RATeam, but this fall and spring he has been impressive. Hit a ball out at RBI field in NOLA against a 20 mph wind from the left side that was absolutely crushed. He is hitting over .400 with 3 doubles, a triple, and a HR so far.
As far as recruiting, I would not say he is sold on any college at all. All would be equal players. Mississippi State was at last nights game. Cannizaro loves him. The biggest opponent with him will be the draft.

I would agree 100 percent. I made the drive over to Ponchatoula for Tuesday'so night game. He was very impressive on both sides 2 hard hit balls for a single and a double with 2 walks. He is a base stealer!!!! Made very nice running catch. ULL and Ole Miss were there according to one of his coaches. Probably a high draft prospect for next year. That would be my biggest concern!!!!

I watched Enlow throw 2 innings last night. First time ive seen him throw. Very impressive. I believe Micah Gibbs was in attendance as well as 10 or so scouts. He was 90-92 with a 75-78 curve. Had some control issues that made him throw extra pitches. I still dont think he will be able to pass up the money

Top 5 rounds? Yes, that's almost a guarantee unless he flat tells teams not to pick him.
Top 5 picks? No.

Enlow might have the best breaking ball in the 2017 high school class, with low-80s power and 12-to-6 shape. He operates in the low 90s and can hit 94 mph with his fastball early in games, though he still has to show he can maintain his velocity in the later innings. That shouldn't be an issue once he fills out his oh-so-projectable 6-foot-4 frame.
MLB.com has him as the #15 prospect and his frame and breaking ball make him the most projectable pitcher in the draft.

All the scouts that have been around our park say he gets drafted higher than Lange no doubt.

I can see that happening. I just don't see top 5 overall happening.

Project do you have any info on how Pearce's season is going at WM ? I think he's going to be a real good player at LSU.
