No, we should decommit from him and tell him to let us know when he is ready to get serious...why hold a spot for a kid just playing with LSU...That is why Bryce is at Michigan...We were just a placeholder for negotiations.

If they've got the option they're all looking around. Be grateful he's up front about it unlike Underwood.

Recruiting, NIL, Portal........
Nothing is solid until they sign.....and then they can just leave with no permission.....this is teaching that your word and responsibility mean nothing!
Clusterfrick cubed!

More like “Hot Seat”. He’ll get fired for sucking and missing the playoffs continually.
You think Ole Miss is going to fire him for going 10-2 every year?

He will not end up at Lsu, might as well get ready cause I don’t see the staff are boosters giving him what he’s gonna ask for!! And I don’t blame em

He went 9-3 this year.
This is year 5 for him at Ole Miss. They went all in this year and bought the best team their wealthy alumni could buy and still lost three games. The wealthy boosters won’t put up with that forever.

With rev share, doesn't that curb some of the wild west free for all? I know there will still be collectives out there, but my understanding was that these collective deals will be under major scrutiny.
In theory? Yes. The House settlement includes a clearinghouse for NIL collective deals. Any NIL agreement >$600 with a collective would have to be reported to the clearinghouse, who would then vet those deals to make sure they serve a legitimate business purpose other than pay-for-play. Basically this would gut the collectives as they exist today, and many (maybe most) of the major programs’ collectives are looking to pivot from fundraising entities to matchmaking/marketing entities.
In practice? Remains to be seen. There are several issues:
1. The final version of the House settlement could change.
2. There are questions about whether the clearinghouse requirements will survive further legal challenges.
3. The House settlement doesn’t address deals with individual big-money donors/boosters, only collectives.
4. With collectives pivoting to this idea of connecting athletes with NIL opportunities, they might try to sidestep the clearinghouse requirements by somehow facilitating payments directly from donors to players, rather than collecting and distributing money. This probably kills the small-money donations, but I think there’s some amount of collective funding that would live on in this type of arrangement.

Lol whatever. I mean can’t keep letting the best talent in your state leave just because they’re asking for a big NIL deal. I thought Stewart was a little overrated but I think this dude is an elite prospect, especially if he can have a similar senior season.

Excellent breakdown. Far too many variables still exist before we know how this thing is gonna shake out. It all eventually leads to collective bargaining, true revenue sharing, contracts and court. The collateral damage to the sport, particularly from a "university" perspective, is yet to be determined. All I know is that the hastily fading view of college footballs origins and amatuerism(cough, cough) will no longer be visible. Seems it's headed down the path of the football version of the minors or the G league. That can't be good. Will be interesting to see how the actual universities manage to keep their spot in the game. It's all a giant washing room for $ anyway.
