Who is Rachel Baribeau?
She is a college sportscaster and is on Sirius XM college sports radio channel. Focuses on SEC the most, I believe.
Reason she was at LSU is that she started a motivational speaking tour where she talks to college athletes about domestic violence and shares her story of being a victim of DV and what the athletes can do to become a positive role model. She spoke to football and basketball teams.

What surgery did Hyatt have? His athleticism was kind of a question mark beforehand

Never said surgery, just that he said in an article I found that it depends on if his knee heals in time. Below is quote and link to article.

The big question surrounding Hyatt is will he reclassify to 2018 or stay in the Class of 2019? When I asked him about that, Hyatt said, “Yeah, I’m leaning towards 2018.” There’s a chance he could reclassify and redshirt but as Hyatt tells me, “it depends how fast my knee heals.”

Rachal did have that foot surgery in May. If they held this talk after practice maybe he wasn’t with the team or doing extra work to catch up?

Unless WW makes a roster move I think he'd want Rachal to stay in the '19 class.

What a smug arse paragraph from that article:

Choosing LSU over Kentucky would be interesting to say the least. Dante has the look of a top draft pick and dominant NBA big man, and looking at the NBA landscape it seems Kentucky would be the place to go for a player in his situation.

frick Jamie Boggs and his smug arse opinion. Like to see what he says when this kid is at LSU.

Dante would be an impossible 7' LSU commit! He makes free throws! LSU=Love Shaq University!

Word has leaked that LSU has reached out to Lester Quinones,6-5 shooting guard from St. Benedict's (N.J.), Quinoes currently has a four star rating from Rivals.

Lester is a nasty defender, he is a defense first guy from what I've read. Wants to shut down the best player on opposing teams. Would be a very nice add.

Billy Embody over on 247, who I'm really liking over there, has said 2019 is a weak class top to bottom so it will really come down to coach evaluations, which I feel real confident in with Wade at the helm.
Also on N'Faly, when was the last time we got an out-of-state five star that we didn't have a tie in with ( which excludes Simmons and Blakeney)? Wade could have two with Emmitt Williams and Daly (have to exclude Reid as well)

We had more ties to Emmit Williams than Naz Reid. Johnny Jones was in on him before Wade was at VCU

Williams' main tie was Blakeney and playing on same AAU team
Reid's tie was his girlfriend is on our women's basketball team
Meh, splitting hairs but having the girlfriend here might have been bigger.

It’s more than just Blakeney playing the same AAU team. They also went to the same HS and like I said, JJ was recruiting him to LSU before any of us knew who Naz Reid was. The fact that Wade recruited him while he was nearly sent to prison helps. Oregon, one of, if not his top choice pretty much had to drop him considering they were taking heat for covering up Bigby-Williams rape accusations.

What tie was there to Blakeney?
I don't consider recruiting relationships to be "ties" in the sense you are referring to.
Do you consider Dale Brown meeting Shaq at a young age a tie? I don't.
Simmons and Reid both have a tie. Blakeney, no.
