Assuming it is a foregone conclusion that Reid will be a one-and-done and we will have that spot to fill?

Reid is only spending 1 year here unless something terrible happens (injury).
He has great size at 6'10 240-250ish and a skillset which every NBA team is looking for in a big man these days. He will very very likely be a lottery pick.

With the new rule for college students to declare for the Pro's, I look for a number of players on the team to declare themselves eligible for the NBA draft. If they not drafted, they can return to school the following year. I look for Tremont, Naz and Emmitt to take advantage of the new rule.

They might unless they don’t want to be a late second round pick. Some guys are looking for more than just getting drafted

I don't think he'll be a one and done.

Agreed. I think Javonte will have a great year; but I don’t see him as a one-and-done type player.
I do think you could see him do something similar to Tremont though and put his name in the draft in order to go through process to gain feedback on what he needs to improve on. Wade has said in every interview how much that process has helped Waters and have him an even greater focus and drive than he already possessed for this year.

The only problem is we're going to sweat Smart's name in there a lot more than Waters

Possibly. But that all very much depends on the season he has. If he puts up Waters type performances, then yes just because he has better measurables than Waters.
All in all though, I think Smart will be a very good player for us this year; but I don't consider him a huge draft risk at this point.

He’ll sign here when Billy Kennedy is fired after this season

Why do you say that? I’m pretty sure they just had higher guys on the board

Nah, he isn’t a take here. Hadn’t been since June. Walker, Payne, Cockburn, Wahab all higher in the board then him.

Yeah tyreek Smith fell down the board, they are after bigger targets
