Correct, we wont start 2 PFs and a center.

Wade wanted a true wing this class between Leblanc and Archie and didnt get one, we will definitely go 3 guards in the starting lineup next year because we return Waters, Mays and Sampson (for now)

Yes
The Archie situation suprised me a little. He seemed more interested in us than Leblanc to me.

If we get E. Williams to sign and join us I will be more than satisfied because I wanted 3 bigs and smart to begin with.

I definitely wanted Archie over Leblanc, Leblanc is almost more of an undersized 4 than true wing IMO. Archie more the complete package and ready to go.

Agreed, there's no way anyone could be upset if the class ended up being Reid, Williams, Smart & Days. We've upgraded our front court massively.

I don't think it takes long for Smart to take Skylar's starting spot. I also think people are going to be shocked at how good Days will be. He can handle and shoot at a strong 6'7. I could see him being on the floor at the same time as two bigs in the same manner that Tasmin used to play with Baby and Tyrus.

I certainly wouldn't call Days underrated, because he's the #60 overall player in the country still...but I will say he'll be overlooked because he's the "worst" rated recruit in the class.

It blows my mind Mike White saw him play a few times and passed on him entirely. No offer. Right out of Gainesville.

And they need a big really bad.

Wondering where Alexander projects next year. Been a quite year for him so for.

He'll get minutes at the 3, he's really the only true wing we have.

Sims will be a junior but fact remains he's really just a very undersized 4.

Agree, Sims isn’t Quick enough to play out at the 3.

But his defensive skills at the 4 is going to continue to give him playing time. I really like what I’ve seen from him this year.

I do not expect him to leave right now at all, he's your starter at the 3, I was just saying Alexander is really the only true wing on the team so he'll play the 3 as well.

Interesting to see where Rachal fits moving forward, plays some tough D but without a shot minutes may be hard to come by next season.

I’d really like to see GH work with Rachal this summer and develope some skills on offense. His size and defense is an asset, but he needs to be able to score a little if he wants to see the court. Crazy to think Days might end up being our lowest ranked recruit in a 4 man class. Our player rating average is going to be on a blue blood level.

LJ Cryer is heating up. Starting to roll in district play. He has ties to Louisiana and is interested in LSU. Starting to pick up some big offers. Nationally ranked 52nd in his class. Projects well as pg or sg.

Sophomore in Katy, TX district

Am i the only one that thinks we need another front court player with height for tournament play next year?

Villanova's lineup when they won their national title:
6'11
6'6
6'5
6'3
6'3

Their only other bigs they rotated were 6'7 and 6'8. So they used 1 guy over 6'8 and won a national title.

6'11 Bigby-Williams
6'10 Reid
6'9 Kiir
6'7 E. Williams
6'7 Days
6'6 Sims
6'6 Alexander
6'5 Rachal
6'5 Sampson
6'4 Mays
6'4 Smart
6'3 Edwards
5'11 Waters

That's plenty of height. Keep in mind E. Williams plays MUCH taller than he is too. If we happen to lose someone due to attrition, it wouldn't surprise me if we go after Yuat Alok hard again to be basically a direct Reath replacement. He is 6'11

Great example. I like depth for the practicality of injury replacement. I think we need 2 6"10s and above, wether they both play or not.

Wisconsins and Washington grow them big.

Is Kiir still practising with the team? If not do you think he will be here next season?

Wade said he’s sick. Hopefully he returns. Unless someone New emerges once coaches get fired, his replacement is the JUCO guy Alok, and I don’t think he would really make us any better. He seams like a Duop Reath type guy at best

Alok's video indicates that he is stronger and more athletic than Reath. Acknowledged, that is a "highlight" video against J C teams and not against SEC competition.

Alok is going to be extremely similar to Reath. He isn't a strong rebounder or shot blocker, can step out and have some range but it's not his "game". It's almost uncanny how similar he is this year to Reath coming out of JUCO.

I think Alok is only added if someone left the team early like Sampson or Sims. He would be a really nice Sims replacement since he struggles so much on this level with guys just bigger stronger and more athletic than he is.
