So where do we go from here? We’ve got 3 absolute studs ready to sign in the fall period, and the latest info on Emmitt Williams looks bleak (putting it mildly).
Common thought amongst those that follow point to us signing 5. Is there a Juco guy we target with one of the last two spots? This would create balance and consistency from class to class? Do we sign an understated/raw HS talent that could be a 4 year guy with tremendous upside? I haven’t heard/read much past these three guys. Anyone have the scoop?

With Emmitt Williams out, sure would have been nice to really go after Shareef O'Neal.

Assuming he maintains eligibility among the investigations, what do you all think about Jahvon Quinerly since he just decommitted from Arizona? He’s friends with Naz Reid.

I'd stay away from that mess.

Not too late for Shareef..

Royal - any rumblings on who the 4th commit might be since Archie and Leblanc both committed elsewhere.
Any realistic chances of flipping either one?

Not sure, think WW wants to sign 5. Both LeBlanc and Archie were takes and obviously so was Days..

I think it's back to the drawing board at this point. Williams was up next for the press but with his arrest he's been brushed aside. Saw somewhere you may expect a push for a guard in the coming week. No specific name was mentioned though.

I see now according to 247 that Antwann Jones the SG from the same school as Emmitt Williams is now decommitted from Okie State and all teams that have offered him are listed as cool.
Any info on his recruitment.
247 says he has an offer from LSU.

I've mentioned his name a few times in threads, especially when we were in it with Williams. He would definitely fit that SG role or even move over to SF if Wade is adamant about the two PG starting lineup

Yes I really would like to see that 4th spot go to a 6'5" to 6'7" SG/SF that has a good stroke from 3 point range to help spread the floor.
Can Days play the 3 and how is his per centage and range on his jump shot?

He COULD, but Wade wants him at that stretch 4 spot where he would do the most damage.

Ty.
That is what I thought Wade was trying to do.
I was just trying to figure out a big line up if we need one.
Like Bigby Willims at Center; Reid at the 4; Days at the 3; Sampson or Rachal at the 2 and Smart at the 1.
Just playing around with 247 and possible future line ups.
Really wish D. Edwards was 6"6 instead of 6'3.

Little looks good, Penn-Johnson is a tad bit, IDK, not really slow, but not quick and he got somewhat testy when he was held after an intentional foul. It's not easy getting a good idea about players by watching a few highlight's. Penn-Johnson might have a temper issue, but, there could have been a lot of hackashaq going on. Highlight's don't always give you an idea about their BB IQ either, so, it's difficult to judge certain things by watching only highlight's. I don't know why Penn-Johnson is rated as only a 2 star, from the highlight's he def looks like he should be rated higher. I'd have to just trust Uncle Willie, if he thinks a player is worthy of a scholarship, then I can't argue. The work and accomplishment's that dude has done so far is amazing to me.

Does anyone know what Lamarcus Lee is doing this season? Had signed with WW at Chattanooga coming out of Scotlandville, but opted out before his frosh year when Wade left for VCU. Since then he played one year at Co-Lin and put up good numbers. He signed with New Mexico St, but then asked for and was granted his release.
Rumors are he and Smart are very tight, and LL has worked out at the practice facility recently (more than once). He was the PG for 3 of Scotlandville’s state titles, and he’s a plus athlete that would fit in well with the new style LSU plans to employ, I’m just not sure what he plans on doing this year in terms of school/ball.
