There are currently about 18 2015 kids committed to BCS conference schools not named LSU from Louisiana.
I expect that number to increase significantly. Most of them don't, and will never, have LSU offers. It just goes to show you that even in a year that's not very top heavy, Louisiana is becoming a big priority for schools all over the country.
With Rich Rod at Arizona and Norvell at Arizona St, they're each pulling multiple kids every year out west. The Pac 12 is ripe with kids from the state. Texas is starting to look harder here. OU is doing about what they've done previously. Nebraska has always had a presence. The Florida schools are all trying to dip into the state now more than any time since Curtis Johnson was at Miami. And then obviously the other SEC schools. South Carolina and UGA being relative newcomers to recruiting the state. SCar being successful already, and UGA competing for Donte Jackson.
This is not a judgement on what LSU coaches are, or are not, doing. Merely an observation.
ETA: And there are like 16 D1 schools around the country with players from Edna Karr, and about 20+ with players from the various Westbank school.

Yeah, Louisiana is getting hit hard lately.
Oklahoma State, UCLA, Arizona, and Texas A&M(always recruited Louisiana, but are now in on the elite guys).
Obviously you have the Alabama/Auburn/Ole Miss/State situations.
Next year worries me. Outside of Sullivan, I don't think we have a large lead for any of these guys.
01. Edwin Alexander
02. Shea Patterson - Committed to Arizona
03. Kristian Fulton
04. Willie Allen
05. Shyheim Carter
06. Rashard Lawrence
07. Isaiah Graham
08. Stephen Sullivan - Committed to LSU
09. Mykel Jones
10. Clyde Leflore

I disagree on Rashad Lawrence, I think we're in the drivers seat on that one. Fulton as well.
I'm not going to lie, this is the first time I've ever seen the name Isaiah Graham. I know nothing about him.

Same here..Idk how he is ahead of Sullivan and I've never heard of him
ETA - ESPN ranked him 62 overall in the country, which makes sense for his huge jump in the composite

I looked at the composite, looks like only one of 4 sites has him rated. One of the flaws in looking too far ahead on the composite. Still the best tool out there though.
ETA:
He must really explode off the SPARQ mat and throw a medicine ball a long ways. (A comment on how dumb ESPN's recruiting coverage is, not on the player)

Monroe (6-0, 180) looks to be a bit of a long shot at this point for any in-state schools. According to the source, Monroe is currently set on LSU and could commit before the summer is over. However, the source did say that Texas commitment Tristian Houston was a big reason for Monroe making it to the camp and has been recruiting him to Texas with diligence.
Monroe is the No. 19-ranked prospect nationally for the 2016 class while Long is the No. 164-ranked prospect for the same class. (Barber)

i'm hearing he will commit in the fall when he comes to a game

Ed Alexander had reiterated multiple times that we lead by a good margin. He's gonna be a lot like Xavier Lewis. He'll take some visits in the fall and then probably recommit to us next year. Could come this summer.
We're supposed to be offering Patterson at the Elite camp in a couple of weeks. He and Mykel Jones are pretty tight and could be a package deal.
We ain't getting Carter. He's gone to Bama.
Richard Lawrence will probably be a Tiger.
We get Tyron Johnson we'll get Leflore.
Allen will be a back and forth battle between us and Bama. Wouldn't be surprised if he renames us his leader after he comes down for the upcoming camp.
Fulton doesn't want to leave the state. Nothing to worry about there.

Leflore ends up at A&M in my opinion.

I don't really want to say anything on Leflore because it's too early in his recruitment. He and Tyron are supposed to be really tight, so getting Johnson would definitely help with Clyde. We're gonna get one out of Jones and Leflore. I kinda prefer Jones.

Korey Charles is expected to make it to the camp later this month. Would be pumped to get him and Monroe as Safeties in the 2016 class.

Devin White heading to Tuscaloosa for camp. Throws in a nice picture.

Maybe the worst picture I've ever seen.

That might be a trolling pic, but that's frickING DISGUSTING.

CRob was throwing that disgusting arse pic around too if I remember right (note: AFTER he committed).
ONLY commenting on the pic, not relating the pic (or CRob) to White and his recruitment.

I tell the kids all the time.... Don't be a follower, be a leader.
Every time I see that picture, I think about how the kids we have on roster and committed now are truly leaders.
Side rant, I'd bet anything that picture originated from the marketing guru or his department employed by Alabama.
I've ranted for two years now that we need to employ a scouting, marketing, and pr dept. that would rival an nfl team.
