Boom...there it is. It stunk enough without that huge fun fact being presented.

Where are you, Willie?

Remember bama will add the OLB T'oto, add him to the 7 DE commits. I think we get Ish & flip Young. They're still hoping to flip Pickering.

Bama can take 28 signees this year.

They currently have 28 commitments. If all of their commitments sign, they'll be full.

They're still actively pursuing at least 5-6 other prospects, 4 of which, at least, are DL (including Ish).

Out of their 4 unsigned prospects, 2 of them are Byron Young and Christian Williams.

Byron Young is Bama's 4th SDE/DT (non-NT) currently committed to them. Same is true for Christian Williams at CB...they have multiple S's committed, too, if Williams projects more there.

The purpose of this thread is to point out that, with today's Bama commits at the AAG, LSU's chances to land Ish, Young and Williams may have just increased.

And, how many more silent commits does Saban have on top of the four verbals posted on 247?

Oh, that’s right, no one on this board knows...My money is on Ish to LSU!!!

Shrimp Boat Captain is killing it...I rate your post a 5 Shrimp...and I mean it!

Kings to you and cheers...

not considered a grey shirt I don't think, but after a student/athlete pays their own way for one full year they can be given an athletic schollie that doesn't count against the 25 limit for any given year? it seems that may be a rule from what I am gathering.

so if a wealthy dad (say an ex NFL player), or anyone for that matter, pays for his athelitc (walk on) sons tuition for one full year, said son can then receive a football schollie that doesn't ever get counted against the 25 recruit signee limitation for any year. From what I gather from reading up on this if I am understanding this right.

Did this happen with this Jarez Park guy?

I’m still not clear on how they are circumventing the hard 25 rule.

IF things work out the way Bama is trying, they will end up with 30 signess. They will just make 2 guys pay their own way for a year and it won't count against their 25 man class. They also most likely cut 1 or 2 guys that haven't signed yet.

Saban gonna process some fools or convince some 4 stars to grey shirt. I've seen this numbers crunch before.

This. The very definition of "processed."
Also, Bama will cut mucho dead meat before leaving us anyone that could help unseat them.

The same way we could if we hadn't taken any transfers the last two years and if we had scholarship caliber players that wanted to come to LSU so bad that they were willing to walk on for a year.

and pay $47,000 out of pocket for that year instead of accepting a scholarship elsewhere?

Talk of making two of their more well off commits to take a grey shirt or just walk on.

how does Alabama do this and get kids respect from their parents and so forth?

you recruited us hard, we committed and then at hte last minute you want my kid to take gray shirt?

Reminds of Trent Richardson's signing day fiasco where he was about to flip to LSU, and Saban sent McCarron and 2 others down to Florida to remind Trent "you made a commitment to Coach, you have to honor it"

and that's how it work out at the 9th hour apparently, whatever Nick wants he gets...

now all they want a ring so it's now out of hand.

he's a great coach, but he's pissing me off with how he lands the #1 class every year

The two they are doing this to are 1 a kicker and 2 Bear Bryant's grandson. You really think the spawn of Bear Bryant will ever pay a dime in Tuscaloosa?
