Louisiana Top 10 Recruits that have Stayed (Plus Top 5)

Using 247 Recruiting/Rivals/Scout, so I can only go back as far as I can
Using only the Top 10 in State Recruits and I know all sites differ but not being a premium member to any site I had to use google for some top 10 searches. Not sure how 100% accurate this is but I also listed the number out of the Top 5 who stayed at LSU.
2014:
4 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State with 1 undecided still (1 of Top 5 with 2 to decide)
2013:
6 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State with Jeremy Cutrer not having anything by his name (4 of Top 5)
2012:
7 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (2 of Top 5)
2011:
8 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (really 9 of Top 11 but I excluded Hill since he had his legal troubles and resigned with LSU the following year) (4 of Top 5)
2010:
7 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (1 went to Tulane however) (4 of Top 5)
2009:
6 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (5 of Top 5)
2008:
7 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State with Don Brown not having anyone by his name (3 of Top 5)
2007:
7 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (4 of Top 5)
2006:
7 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in state (4 of Top 5)
2005:
5 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (3 of Top 5)
2004:
6 of the Top 10 players in State stayed in State (4 of Top 5)

We are assuming that each Top 10 player has an LSU offer?

Pretty much, once you get past 2012 it becomes harder to search unless you are a premium member. Just going by the Top 10 kids from the state of Louisiana.

So basically this year is LSU worst haul for top state recruits in the past decade (by # of players in top 5) What we thought was going to be the best recruiting year in history is now the worst in the last decade.

This may be the only year LSU doesn't land at least 2 of the Top 5 players in the state and it is also the most talented group in 10 years I believe.
It sucks but it is what it is really, at least they grabbed Adams/Garrett

Yeah what a pitiful class. Grabbing the top player in the country and 5 strs from out of state.
Absolute garbage class.
What the frick is wrong with people

With the current 18 prospects our class is already better than the 2012 class. I haven't looked but it probably already is in the top 5 classes of the past decade. Please think before you make such a negative comment.

The 01 class, 03 class, 09 class, 04 class, and 07 class were all awesome. This class had they grabbed Willis/Brown would have been better than those I believe. Te 04 class was listed #1 by many publications and the 07 class was #2 by those same one only behind Alabama.
It is a great class but it could have been even better and that is where the disappointment comes into play. By no means is it horrible but everyone went from having high expectations based on what "experts" were saying, including those on this board said via "inside sources" to something else.

No kidding, #1 player in the country only has 15 pages and it wouldn't even be on the first page without someone bumping it

Eh I know I will get blasted for this, but while getting the #1 player is nice it is just a ranking. I doubt there is THAT much difference in the #1-#3 RB in the nation recruiting wise.
Had we landed Adams, Willis, Brown and lost out on LF I would have been ok actually. I think a RB is easier to recruit than some of the other positions and while LF was a need with Hill probably making the jump I would have felt confident in what LSU has returning as well. Hopefully he turns into the LSU version of Adrian Peterson though

Not including 2014, because we are not finished, that is an average of reeling in 6.6 top La. players (of the top ten) per year. 66%.
