Louisiana Basketball Recruits

I know this year is a down year for basketball in Louisiana. Every year there seems to be a guy or two that flies under the radar. Are there any diamonds in the rough in the state this year?

There is some 6'11" guy I've never heard of from New Orleans that is signed with a Pac 10 team.

There was also a kid from Morgan City that LSU was on for a little while but I don't think he made the cut. Also that kid Nick Syrie, I don't think anyone has talked about him since last year when LSU was said to be looking at him. Has anyone seen them play?

Jalan West, signed with northwestern state point gaurd, Zay Jackson, signed with missouri state point guard, T.J. Price signed with Tulane, #2 gaurd are the 3 of the best players and could all have very nice careers at the future schools

Also, Leron Barnes of North Desoto just committed to Houston, 6-4 wing.

He looks REALLY good in the videos I have seen on-line, but his offer sheet is not very good, so there must be more to the story. With his size and apparent ability, he should be getting a lot better offers. I don't know what the deal is.

Saw the kid play, can't remember his name but he signed with Washington. We are not missing out on much. He is average at best...very soft for a big man.

I hear you. I was hoping Nicholls would add some size this year but I don't know that we can compete with those bigger schools on his offer sheet. Small schools have a tough time competing in states where the talent pool is low.
