Interesting. I hadn't heard that rumor. I just can't understand how OP thinks it's a bad look to not get in state guys who don't want to be here and/or are going to the highest bidder when they are being replaced with guys from out of state who want to be here and are of a similar caliber.
It's not the staff's money being put in to NIL. They only have so much to work with when trying to get the in state guys going to the highest bidder, and it's highly unlikely you change a kids mind when he is no desire to go to college in Louisiana. I am curious to here how he thinks, from a staff perspective, we fix that going forward. If it's a money issue that's not on the staff

NIL and the portal have changed the equation. It will eventually level out over time.
In the meantime folks need to relax. This last cycle including transfers we picked up 5 CBs with a composite .94 ranking. Every transfer has multiple years of eligibility.
We just added Cai Bates along with 3 other CBs and we are likely not done.

The denial is at an all time high for this crew. If you don’t think having the three guys listed in the OP would not be a tremendous help to this roster, I really don’t know what more to tell you. In state top DB talent is a problem. Admit it or not. I didn’t mention one time an issue with developing the talent we have or the ability to recruit oos talent.
I want more than anything to see our LA kids succeed at DBU. We have to step it up in that department or we will be in this transfer cycle of holding out hope the transplants work out every year. It worked last year. We are grasping for hope with ZY and Duece. How long will that carry on while conference rivals take kids from the backyard at a position of need? Not opinion. These are facts. Carry on with your delusion.

We might be missing put on the top DB from the state, but it's not like we're not getting good DBs. Would I like to have those 3 guys? Sure, but those 3 guys aren't going to win is a NC by themselves. LSU isn't ever going to get everybody. UGA doesn't, neither does Bama,OSU,USC. That's not how this works. Guys have different reasons when picking schools. If a guy wants to leave his home, and he's a Louisiana kid, LSU probably isn't going to get him. Sometimes kid wants a bag, and is going to go where it's bigger. I don't really want bag chasers, I think it's a negative personality trait, but understand that sometimes these kids have family situations. I trust BK to navigate that correctly.

How much have you donated to LSU's NIL fund to make sure that no defensive back in the state of Louisiana ever plays anywhere but LSU?
