There are roughly 900 3 stars and wayyyy more 2 stars than that (~1500?) per year.
Compare that to roughly 300 4 stars and <30 5 stars per year.
Percentages prove that more 4 and 5 stars are successful than 2 and 3 stars. End of discussion if that is what you are trying to prove.

This is like saying how many high school football players from California make it to the NFL ....
Of course a larger number from California make it to the NFL....but it doesnt use percentages.
Louisiana puts a very high per capita percentage of football players into the NFL.
You cant look at how many 2 and 3 stars end up being impact players because the huge numbers of them compared to 4 and 5 stars is not being considered.
Percentage wise, I would bet it's not even close. Four and Five stars have way more of an impact....again...we're talking percentage wise.

Pretty much.
There's no doubt that there are some underrated guys out there at 2-3 stars, and some not so underrated guys at the time that end up developing in a year or 3 into a guy that has NFL ability, and then there's the guys that just are what they are and are either intelligent enough with a decent bit of athletic ability or a guy with the measurables and just enough intelligence and has just what it takes to fit into a certain system and be successful just on the college level. I mean for example with Alabama, Wallace Gilberry is a guy who didn't get drafted was a 3 star, but would have made all the difference in the world to possibly making us the number 1 defense in the nation this year because we lacked a pass rush.
But the majority of your 4 and 5 star guys are going to pan out at least as a serviceable guy by year 3 on the college level...if not end up making an impact in the NFL

There were 10 2*s that went in the first round last year I believe.
Go look it up if you care; there have been threads in the past with similar questions -- use the search function.
These are the kinds of threads that piss everyone off because a simple search wouldn't clog the board.
