Which have thrived? They are just secondary pieces despite throwing to the best WRs and RBs perhaps in all of D1 FBall over the last decade. Maybe we have different definitions of "thriving" or perhaps I am just wrong as I am not a die hard LSU fan.

Look, either change the scheme or start getting pocket passers. I could throw for 3000 yards with the WRs, OL and RBs you get. I just feel like the Scott offer is a bit disingenuous as he doesn't fit Cameron's scheme and its just the power of Sat nights in Tiger stadium and not the right fit. It feels like he will be no different then the past 5 running QBs at LSU who's best option is roster spot in Canada or the arena league.

Yes, but Magee was a solid Qb. As far as style of play and stats, he's a pretty fair comparison to Scott as well as Perrilloux.

If you listen to his coach talk about him on Moscona's show, you would swear the coach was describing Russell Wilson.

He went midway through his first year at QB. After the Florida game, he had a long talk with Miles, and he convinced Miles to switch him to WR.

Not sure about the rest but Scott has been training year round at QB. Also, not just spread.

I know. The plan was for him to play a different position. He threw zero passes.

Coxie played Qb in their playoff game. Proves the best player with the ball in their hands theory.

True freshman QBs usually throw zero passes, especially when they are #3 on the depth chart.

Speedy was also a QB

But I would love for once..just once! We recruit a running QB and run the spread and option and draws, ah that would be nice.

But yeah RP is the reason for the spiral, I think the advocate wrote an article about it and how they had it all lined up and he messed it all up

You would need a new OC to run the read options, no?

There was no intention of Shepard ever throwing a pass. They tried him there, but I witnessed some practices....he didn't have the arm for it. If he goes to Oregon, he plays Qb. He wasn't going to do that at LSU. Not with the system we ran.
