The talk radio shows in Tupelo,Ms at 5:00 have been saying both of the top Miss. QB's are going to LSU. Liggins and Alford[who my son says is great]. He lifts weights at a workout club with a high school coach. I think Gunner Keil likes the game atmosphere his family saw, but ,will go to ND. Just what I hear.

Liggins = Dave Garrard? Kidding.
I remember when he came to ECU's camp. Steve Logan (coach) told him to line up with the OLine.
He said, "No, I am a QB."
Coach told him he would only get three snaps at QB and then back to the OLine he went. Needless to say he stayed at QB.

I just can't see Alford being a take anymore for LSU. With the limited number of spots, I think we are going to only take one QB and want it to be a guy we know will be playing for us next year for sure

His description of Liggins is that he is a clone of Jamarcus Russell....as big and as strong an arm.
Liggins is shorter and fatter than Russell.
And I seriously doubt the equal arm strength.

He is one of the best athletes in the entire nation. He would easily be a top 5 player in our class if he committed. You make room for a guy like that no matter what.

I don't know man. I think Kiel might end up here. Two things lead me to believe this.
1. He will be choosing in the next couple weeks as he's an early enroll player.
2. He took an unofficial, liked it so much, flew home, and came back for an official with his folks the next day. That just doesn't happen. The kid fits our offense perfectly. I think if we keep winning, he comes here. Sits behing ZM a year. ZM leaves as a junior, and Kiel can play for 3 years.

He's phenomenal. If he weren't almost a lock to sign an MLB contract, he would be the number one player on my wish list.
Think of a better version of Tyrod Taylor.

first time ever a guy could come in and play qb or dline?
Kentucky had a guy who could have played tackle, offensive or defensive. He's the commissioner for the Ultimate Indoor Football League now (whatever that is). He's probably hungry right now.

He said during pregame he was throwing from the 50 to the back of the endzone with little effort.
JR could do that sitting at the 50, eating a triple whopper with 10lbs of gold around his next and throw in the ugly arse sweater he had on during the 07 BCSNCG(I think)

Agreed with this.
From what I hear from people outside of this board and adding it to the video I've seen of his HS career + what people have said here....
I'm convinced that Randall is going to be a beast.

I don't think that's what he meant....I think he just trying to describe his athleticism by saying he could play at other positions. At least that's what I took from it.

He said this as Kiel was making his way back to campus.
This was for Gunner to hear

Because Jared Lorenzen Sr was an excellent SEC QB?

Liggins has an article about him with a picture in todays Tupelo,Ms. paper the the Daily Journal. His thighs look huge, very big man. stockier than JaMarcus Russell. Coverage of him says he can stand on the 50 and throw it in the end zone easy. Cannon for an arm. Bama,Ole Miss, Ms.State discussed moving him to another position, but, he says he is a QB. SEC camps asked him to play TE or DE and he refused, he is a QB. Other SEC schools have upped their sec recruitment after he said in the paper he prefered LSU. He has narrowed choices to 4 SEC schools with LSU in the lead.
