I just want to know if he can wear #2 to really confuse bandwagoners? Shep RP killed those guys for a bit

He wouldn't commit today if he cared about the Texas offer next week.Just doesn't make any sense to commit if he's just going to switch to Texas next week
well I guess you could argue it was a move to get Texas to feel a more sudden sense or urgency in his recruitment and make them step their game up

Great news! This could be the LB we've been looking for.

early PT, gets to keep his number, says he will enroll early, sounds good to me at this time
can UT offer early playing time? not sure on their lb depth

should fit well into Chavis defensive scheme. good coverage skills & good speed to blitz to fill in the 'harry coleman' role
Most likely. I wonder if UT would offer him at LB? Looks like a safety to me, but would fit perfectly in the Chavis LB mold. I would guess that he feels he would be a great fit, as I do in the Chavis defense.
But looking at his film, in a more traditional setting he looked more like a safety than LB.

Texaswill,I can't disagree with you because i'm not privy to the innerworkings of the Texas world but a lot of Texas guys have said he would get an offer. That is the info I'm going on.Other than Moss and Wallace who are you guys suppose to offer at LB?

Your rt. We have never signed a guy from texas after committing this early.
Give me a break, randle is all about LSU

I warned you guys about Mike Davis but if this guy gets a Texas offer in the future he will take it. He's a very good player and should be able to put on some weight after a RS year. He also has a pretty good teammate LB Donnie Baggs.
Is that why he skipped the Texas Junior Day he was supposed to go to last week?

205 pound LB with 4.4 speed.

here's a FREE article and a nice picture from a local newspaper for us common folk:

The Clear Springs linebacker made the decision before attending several other junior days, including the University of Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Arizona, UCLA and a plethora of other schools had shown interest.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound physical specimen is a big grab for the Tigers. Randle, a first team all-district and all-county selection, led Springs in tackles with 163, an average of 11.6 a game. He also intercepted three passes, recovered four fumbles, blocked a punt and deflected seven passes.
Though he’ll most likely play outside linebacker at college, Randle also handled some running back duties. He ran the ball 84 times for 402 yards (4.8 average) and scored 12 touchdowns.

Last month, Randle made the first team at the U.S. Army National Combine in San Antonio, which brings together the 500 best underclassmen in the nation. ESPNU put Randle in their 150 watch list for the class of 2011, and Scout.com ranked Randle the No. 5 outside linebacker in the country.

IF he made first team at the combine, is he likely to make the US Army AA team? That would put our US AAA commitments at 5?
Collins, Johnson, Landry, Hilliard- locks
Trevon Randle and Greg Robinson- possibles
Thats 6 that could easily make it and be tigers.

I would imagine the number 5 outside linebacker would play in either the Army or the Under Armour game.

The national rankings are very preliminary at this point, but making 1st team at the combine is pretty solid I would think.

Randle is lightning quick and a good tackler put about 20lbs on him and he reminds me of Patrick Willis.

quote:You said last week in a thread I started you expected him to be an early commit to you guys. Are you just saying this now because he committed to the Tigers? Or were you just spitting out BS stuff before about him committing early to you guys?
He wasn't gonna get a Texas offer unless we missed on a few guys
This is what you wrote in the thread I created asking about the Texas junior day.

quote:Sure seems you thought he was going to you guys just two weeks ago. Funny how now all of a sudden he really wasn't high on the list of LB's for UT.
QB (1) Ash
RB (2)
FB (1) Hocutt or Bergeron
WR (2) Shipley and Onyegbule
TE (1) McFarland
T (3) Doyle,Cochran
G (2) Flowers
DT (2)
DE (2or3)
LB (3or4)Moss and Randle
DB (3)Scott,Evans
ATH(2)
I think we will get these guys wrapped up in about a week.
It's going to be some serious talent left out this year.
Anyways
