I know we have Brennan and Narcisse comitted, but does anybody know what the deal is with Thompson? I heard he obliterated the Destrehan team this past week (50-14 score). He has some pretty impressive measurables at 6'4" and 225lbs. He is committed to MSU at the moment, but would hate for him to be another Dak Prescott situation where we passed on him. Is it because they feel the Narcisse is just better than him? How accurate is Thompson in his passing ability (he is listed as a dual threat)? Just asking questions because I'm not too familiar with him.

Some New Orleans media guy tweeted out he's a primary LSU target over the weekend. Idk who the Nola guy is.

Mullen has had Fitzgerald and Prescott as his past two QBs. I think he knows how to identity playmakers at the position.

Cam offered him early on, before Brennan I believe.

Anyone watch this kid live? He's definitely got the size, and is a winner

So he HAS or HAD an offer, but the kid just doesn't want to go to LSU?

I think they slowed played him in favor of Narcisse. And then he committed to MSU.
If we feel Brennan is out (I hope to god hes not) then we should most definitely press him hard.

Good athlete. Decent arm strength. Very rough mechanics (awkward delivery). Struggles with accuracy. Narcisse much smoother passer. Iven seen KT in person. No where near 220.

Well he's only 17-18 years old...Even if he's 210, but has years to grow. I'll take 6'3 225 from my QB who is crazy athletic

Not accurate.

thats not a switch in 247sports. Experts had him coming to LSU every since he was offered last summer. He subsequently committed to Moo STate. They are locked into their vote. Last vote was 11/2015. The percentage does not represent a "flip" only what they thought he was going to do prior to the moo state commitment.

Tremendous runner, but he has a LONG way to go as a passer.

I don't want anyone who struggles with accuracy. Had enough with trying to fix Harris and Jefferson. The two most basic things that are needed are accuracy and decision making.

Miles may have wanted him as a DE, but O and company like him behind center.

We get to watch him play this Saturbray in the Dome against West Monroe.

He is a good QB but I have seen better at the high school level.

Its going to best interesting how the WM coaches scheme him. Coach Jerry Arledge is one of the best in the state on the high school level.

Kenny Trahan and Ed Daniels commented about this young man's ability. They both were in agreement that Thompson is going to be really good and really soon. They referenced (without saying his name) how big of a mistake letting Prescott go was. I also remember another player that the tigers inquired about a few years ago. I don't know if it was Miles or someone recruiting. Kenny and Ed mentioned it on the show in 2012. They wanted to know what kenny and ed thought of Deion Jones. Their response was you better offer him because you will regret it if you don't.

I have a good friend on staff at Walker and after talking to him yesterday it looks very slim he'd change his committment.Looks up to Prescott, feels comfortable in Stakville ,and really likes Mullen's track record.Don't see this going anywhere on either end.

He is going to be really good up there but we can still find the QB that O wants for the future.
