It has to get to you when one of your top 3 in state prospects you are relying on going in state has already made it clear he is going OOS, before his Junior year even.

It's worse than that, the Texas boards think Mack has told LS he is their #1 priority next year.

The good thing for us is that Mack rarely chases down prospects that do not openly express great love for UT early in the process. He may make an exception here, but generally speaking - if they do not "love UT growing up" then the lack of interest is mutual.

K. Williams + C. Scott + R. Murphy + D. Pratt + M. Ford = LSU does not need another runnign back this year.
but i am not a coach so what do i know?

As much as I LOVE TR, EL, and CM...they are all very similar to MF and DP. IFFFFF LS is a 'lock' then pass on those 3 or ask Lache if it would factor in on his decision.
Alright lynx. I know what you're saying here, but I'd imagine anyone else that isn't into recruiting as much as some here, would think this is an algebra problem.

Isn't Lache orginally from Laffy?

Leesville (I think). But apparently only lived there long enough not to remember anything.

As an LSU fan, I think we get the best three RB's that we can every year and let the rich get richer. If they are scared of competition then we have no use for them.

It's a little useless to get 3 guys every year at the runningback position, but if those guys just want to see the field (which is what I'm expecting from Drayton Calhoun), then they may see early PT on special teams or be converted to wide receiver (ala Josh Reed and Devery Henderson) or DB.
ETA: So if that's the case, then I can see your point.

yeah but their USC and they can do what ever they want. The heisman waits for them not the other way around.

thank you, i was looking for a decoder ring to figure this thread out.
and for people shitting their pants that signing a third guy is gonna scare off Lache. Whoever teh 3rd RB is prolly will redshirt anyway and top recruits are not scared off by redshirt freshman, sorry.

Watch Sheppard's film followed by Lache's film. I would hate to be the defensive coordinator scheming against those two in Crowton's offense. Throw Randle and Debose in at WR, and I'm getting a chubby.
This may be wishful thinking, but not very far fetched.
ETA: Forgot about Benton. He could still be in the mix also.

Yes, Eric Martin was also a RB that went on to be a very good WR. These guys are very good ATH and if the competitive nature is in them then they will work hard to hit the field at any position. Matt Flynn did not run from competion but Robert Lane did.

I heard the same.

No, but I keep telling myself that he did already so I don't get my hopes up.
